Answer: The Missouri Breaks

Nicholson plays a horse thief named Tom Logan, living in 1800's Montana, along the Missouri River. Randy Quaid plays Little Tod, a member of Tom's gang. A local rancher named David Braxton (John McLiam) captures another member of their gang, named Sandy (Hunter von Leer), and hangs him to make an example of him.

The gang retaliates by hanging an employee of Braxton's, who then decides to call in a "regulator" named Robert E. Lee Clayton, played by Marlon Brando. Clayton's job is essentially to hunt down Logan's gang of rustlers (horse thieves) and kill them.

The rest of the film details the deadly cat-and-mouse game between Clayton and Logan's gang. Nicholson and Quaid both also star in "The Last Detail" and "Targets".

Answer: Bye Bye Love

The film stars Randy Quaid, Matthew Modine, and Paul Reiser as Vic, Dave, and Donny. They are three divorced friends, dealing with issues relating to their ex-wives, their children, and new romance. Garofalo plays Lucille, a woman who Vic goes with on the blind date from Hell. Quaid and Garofalo also both appear in "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle".

Phoenix plays Clay Bidwell, a young man in a small town who witnesses the suicide of a friend, after the friend discovers that Clay was having an affair with his wife, Amanda (Georgina Cates). Due to his guilt, Clay tells Amanda that he thinks they should slow down for a while, but she continues to press him to continue their relationship.

A man named Lester Long (Vince Vaughn) then enters Clay's life and befriends him. Lester admits to Clay that he is in fact a serial killer, offering to kill the pestering Amanda for him. Amanda is killed (although not at Clay's request) and into town comes an FBI agent (played by Garofalo), named Shelby to investigate.

While Clay certainly hasn't killed anyone, he still feels somewhat responsible for Amanda's death for mentioning her to Lester, and Agent Shelby sees Clay as the prime suspect.

Answer: U-Turn

The film stars Sean Penn as Bobby Cooper, a man on the run from some dangerous bookies, who breaks down in a small Southwest town inhabited by some colorful characters. One of these characters is Toby N. Tucker (Phoenix), a man who thinks of himself as a pretty tough cowboy. Tucker takes an immediate disliking to Bobby, after what he perceives as Bobby hitting on his girlfriend, Jenny (Claire Danes). Phoenix and Danes also co-star in "Its All About Love".

Answer: Brokedown Palace

Danes plays a woman named Alice, who along with her friend Darlene (Kate Beckinsale), are arrested for drug smuggling while in Thailand, and sent to prison. Alice and Darlene are framed by a handsome stranger named Nick that they met while vacationing.

They decide to hire Hank Green (Pullman), an American lawyer based in Thailand, who is said to be the best there is in these types of matters, if the price is right. Pullman and Danes are also both in "Igby Goes Down".

Answer: The Accidental Tourist

"The Accidental Tourist" stars William Hurt as Macon Leary, a travel writer dealing with the recent death of his son. He has also separated from his wife due to the stress of their loss. He meets an eccentric dog-walker named Muriel (Davis), whose quirky personality is in stark contrast with Macon's somber demeanor. Macon and Muriel get to know each other and start dating.

Not long after beginning their relationship, Macon's wife (Kathleen Turner) decides that she wants to try again, and he has to make a choice between Muriel and his wife. Pullman plays Macon's publisher, Julian, who meets and falls in love with Macon's sister, Rose, eventually marrying her. Pullman and Davis also both star in "A League of Their Own".

Answer: Beetle Juice

Geena Davis stars as Barbara, who along with her husband Adam (Alec Baldwin), are stuck as ghosts in their beautiful New England farmhouse, after they each die in a car crash. Jeffrey Jones stars as Charles Deetz, who moves into the house with his family. Barbara and Adam are each much too timid as ghosts to be able to scare the Deetz clan out of the house, and eventually avail themselves of the services of another, much scarier, ghost named Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton). Davis and Jones also both appear in "Stuart Little" and "Transylvania 6-5000".

Answer: Sleepy Hollow

Jeffrey Jones stars as Reverend Steenwyck of Sleepy Hollow, with Depp playing Ichabod Crane in Tim Burton's take on Washington Irving's classic horror story. Jones and Depp also both star in Burton's "Ed Wood".

Answer: From Hell

Depp plays Inspector Frederick Abberline, a brilliant detective in 1888 London, trying to track down Jack the Ripper. Heather Graham plays a prostitute, named Mary Kelly, who comes into contact with Abberline during his investigation, as Jack the Ripper seems to be targeting prostitutes in the deadly London slum of Whitechapel.

Answer: Bowfinger

Steve Martin stars as a D-list actor-producer-director named Bobby Bowfinger. He comes across a script that he desperately wants to turn into a film, and he is convinced that Hollywood superstar Kit Ramsey (Eddie Murphy) would be perfect for the movie.

When Kit declines his offer, Bowfinger decides he's going to shoot his ultra low-budget film with the star anyway, secretly filming around Ramsey without his permission, and using Kit's nerdy look-a-like brother (also played by Murphy) to fill in for remaining scenes.

Heather Graham plays the female lead in Bowfinger's movie, a beautiful aspiring actress from Ohio, named Daisy. Jamie Kennedy plays Bowfinger's flunky assistant Dave. Graham and Kennedy both also star in "Scream 2" and "Boogie Nights".

From director David O. Russell, "Three Kings" tells the story of four soldiers, in the aftermath of the Persian Gulf War, named Archie, Troy, Chief Elgin, and Conrad (George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube, and Spike Jonze). They set out to steal gold hidden in a bunker that had been stolen from Kuwait by Saddam Hussein. Jamie Kennedy plays Walter Wogaman, a private who is tasked by Archie to sidetrack and divert a nosy reporter named Adriana (Nora Dunn) in order to keep her off their trail. Kennedy and Wahlberg both star in "Boogie Nights" as well.

Answer: The Basketball Diaries

"The Basketball Diaries" tells the true story of Jim Carroll (DiCaprio), an athletically gifted but troubled teenager that is drawn deeply into drug addiction, eventually ending up on the street. Wahlberg plays Jim's best friend, Mikey, who also spirals out of control due to an addiction to drugs. Wahlberg and DiCaprio also both star in "The Departed".

Answer: Total Eclipse

DiCaprio plays a young, tormented poet named Arthur Rimbaud, who is thought to be a genius. The film chronicles his dysfunctional and destructive relationship with his mentor and eventual lover, another poet named Paul Verlaine (Thewlis).

Answer: James and the Giant Peach

This is an animated musical about a boy named James who is forced to live with his horrid aunts after his parents are killed by a rhinoceros. James meets a man who gives him some magical creatures called crocodile tongues, which James accepts, but then lets free. Through the magical powers they possess, the crocodile tongues cause a giant peach to grow on James' front lawn.

When James takes a bite, an opening appears in the side of the peach and James is able to crawl inside. Once inside, he befriends a group of magical, talking insects that help him form a plan to get to New York, where his parents had promised to take him.

Thewlis provides the voice of Earthworm and Sarandon is the voice of Miss Spider.

Answer: The Witches of Eastwick

Sarandon plays a woman named Jane, who, with her friends Sukie and Alexandra (Michelle Pfeiffer and Cher), live and work in the small New England town of Eastwick. One night the three friends are sitting in front of a fire and discussing the attributes of their perfect dream men. Unwittingly, they seem to somehow summon a mysterious stranger to their sleepy town, a man named Daryl Van Horne (Nicholson). Van Horne at first seems like a creep, but nonetheless also seems to have some otherworldly powers or persuasion, and is soon bedding all three women.

It eventually becomes apparent, though, that Daryl's perfect man attributes are an illusion, and he is hiding some very dark secrets.
