We know that Casey works in accounting department because when Casey (Judy Greer) and Jane enter the office, Casey give Jane a hard time because she can't order around the receptionist. Jane then orders Casey to go back to accounting. Jane has worked as the assistant to George for a number of years and often goes above and beyond her job description when it comes to helping George; although Jane says she works so hard because she loves her job, Casey thinks it's because of her love for George.

Jane has a yellow "Gone with the Wind" dress (complete with parasol and bonnet), a black goth dress (complete with spiked collar) and a puffy teal cowgirl dress, complete with boots and hat, but she does not have an outerspace dress.

Although neither really knows the words, and neither is a good singer, Jane and Kevin sing at a bar. "Bennie and the Jets" was one of the songs on Elton John's 1973 album "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road". It went on to reach number 1 on the Billboard Charts in 1974.

The song is about a fictional rock band and many of the lyrics are often misinterpretted, partuclarly the line "She's got electric boots, a mohair suit."

Hal (Brian Kerwin) owns "Hal's Hardware" and apparently lives above it. The girls' mother died when Jane was eight years old, and since then she acted as surrogate mother to Tess. When the girls go visit him he makes them pancakes with fruit smiley faces.

The title of the article (as seen while Jane and Kevin eat breakfast) is "Always, Always, Always a Bridesmaid", and features photo after photo of Jane in her bridesmaids dresses. Jane is furious at Kevin, who never got around to telling her about the article. Tess is also angry as Kevin paints her as "Bridezilla" and worries what everyone will think of her.

Kevin reveals that he had a big fancy wedding and then his wife left him for his college roommate. Jane feels bad that she forced this revelation out of Kevin and suggests that they go register Tess for really ugly things as a form of therapy. He agrees.

Unlike many of Jane's previous bridesmaids dresses, Casey and Tess actually wear pretty nice dresses. They are not Jane's only bridesmaids however, she has 27 other bridesmaids all wearing the dresses that Jane had to wear in their weddings. A very fitting ending.
