George Roy Hill directed Paul Newman, Robert Redford and Katharine Ross in this very funny movie with a sad ending. Hats off to Hill for the tasteful way that he handles their demise, without a lot of gratuitous gore.

It's hard to imagine anyone but Anthony Hopkins doing justice to the role of Hannibal the Cannibal, he's made it so much his own. Jodie Foster was wonderful as the FBI agent, but bowed out of the sequel. Jonathon Demme directed.
