This is the narration during the opening scene of the film, and is a great start.

The narration helps the viewer realize just how fleeting a moment can be, not to mention how many wonderful things can happen in this world, without anyone even noticing. The line helps illustrate how the smallest little details of life can have an enormously profound effect on the lives of others.

Amelie first sees him searching for photos under the photo booth at the train station. There is absolutely no reason for his bizarre collection. Nino used to take pictures of footprints in wet cement, as well as things written in wet cement.

This soundtrack is awesome! It is very nostalgic and very French. The music really helps to develop the magical mood that is felt throughout this film. All of the original music in the film was compossed by one Yann Tiersen. Yann has also composed music for "Good Bye Lenin".

As a child Amelie had no real friends and was not allowed to attend school. Her father believed she had a weak heart and could not handle it. So Amelie grows up to be painfully shy, and at 23 years old she is only begining to interact with others. Her age is spoken of several times, and she is wise beyond her years. Also, her birthdate is mentioned at the begining of the film.

The actual title of the film in France is "Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain". Amelie is played by Miss Audrey Tautou, but more about her in question 9.

Amelie was friends with a flight attendant, and watched her cat for her sometimes. Amelie got her to take her father's garden gnome with her on several flights and take photos of said gnome in exotic locations around the world. She would then mail the photos to Amelie's father, who was quite puzzled by the whole situation.

All of these women are in the film! Lorella plays Amandine Poulain, Claire plays Suzanne and Isabelle plays Georgette. Audrey Tautou is a fairly famous actress in France. She also stars in the films "Dirty Pretty Things" and "A Very Long Engagement".

What a beautiful city it is! It's a wonderful backdrop for a wonderful film, very colorful and at times magical. Paris is mentioned throughout the film and there are several landmarks, however, the Eifel tower is never seen. Also, on the sleeve to the film it states that Amelie works at a "tiny Paris cafe". The name of the cafe in English is the Two Windmills.
