We found ourselves in Denton, Ohio (USA), where a clean-cut, newly-engaged couple (Brad Majors and Janet Weiss) were about to experience a life-changing evening.

(Please don't ask what this Gothic castle was doing in the middle of Ohio!) The set used for the castle was Oakley Court, Berkshire (UK), known as 'the Hammer House', because a number of films from the Hammer studios used it. At the time of filming, it was quite dilapidated, but it has since been restored.

Answer: Dr. Frank N. Furter

Dr. Frank N. Furter was clearly designed to recall Mary Shelley's famous Dr. Frankenstein, the creator of 'Frankenstein's monster'. This classic horror story has been the inspiration for many of the B-grade movies which "Rocky Horror" was spoofing.

Answer: Transsexual, Transylvania

Dr Frank N. Furter described himself as a "sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania". The planet Transsexual can be found in the galaxy Transylvania, according to the movie's cosmology. The other options are cities in the central Romanian region of Transylvania.

'Dammit Janet' was the duet in which Brad proposed to Janet; 'Sweet Transvestite' was the song in which Frank N. Furter introduced himself, and came after the 'Time Warp' number; 'Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me' was sung by Janet much later in the film.

The servant Riff Raff (a handyman) and his sister Magenta (a domestic) were present, along with a groupie named Columbia. There were many others, but Elvis, sadly, was not there on that special evening.

One of the reasons this scene was reminiscent of 'Frankenstein' is that the set used the tank and dummy from a Hammer production of 'The Revenge of Frankenstein'. The beautiful Rocky was about to play havoc with quite a few people's emotions during the rest of the film!

Meat Loaf has appeared in a number of movies and television shows. Here he played Eddie, the ex-delivery boy who was the former boyfriend of Columbia. His participation in the movie was short-lived, as Frank killed him with an ice-axe in a fit of jealous rage.

Answer: Everett von Scott

Dr. Everett von Scott, who was Brad and Janet's high school science teacher, was also the uncle of Eddie. His arrival triggered a search of the castle which uncovered Eddie's body. Frank suspected Dr. Scott of working for the government, investigating UFOs and became suspicious of Brad and Janet due to their connection to him.

The performance was interrupted by Riff Raff and Magenta, who announced their plan to return to the planet of Transsexual, in the galaxy of Transylvania. In the process they killed Columbia, Rocky and Frank. They released the humans (Brad, Janet, and Dr. Scott) and then departed by lifting off in the actual castle, which flew off under a rainbow.
