Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Priest, Doctor, Narrator

Answer: Anthony Hopkins

Powerhouse, award-winning Anthony Hopkins played multiple roles in the film, as Dracula's priest in the early scenes, the eccentric Dr. Van Helsing, vampire hunter, and the narrator who draws the story lines together. Wales-born Sir Hopkins earned a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his roles in "Bram Stoker's Dracula".
2. Dracula's Bride

Answer: Monica Bellucci

Italian actress Monica Bellucci played one of Dracula's brides in "Bram Stoker's Dracula". She acted again with Keanu Reeves in "The Matrix Reloaded" in 2003. Other roles include a beautiful opera singer in "Mozart in the Jungle" and a "Bond" girl in 2015's "Spectre" with Daniel Craig.
3. Jonathan Harker

Answer: Keanu Reeves

Coppola revealed in interviews that he wanted a matinee idol for the role of Jonathan Harker, and Keanu Reeves fit the bill, with recent roles in "Point Break" and "Bill & Ted" movies. Reviewers criticized Keanu's performance, specifically his English accent, but Coppola indicated he was one of the kindest young actors he'd ever known. Keanu himself indicated that when he arrived on the "Dracula" set, he was exhausted from back-to-back work on other projects and had no energy reserves from which to draw for the role.
4. Arthur Holmwood

Answer: Cary Elwes

Cary Elwes played Arthur Holmwood, newly affianced to the beautiful heiress Lucy Westenra. Elwes's breakout role was Westley, the dashing hero of 1987's "The Princess Bride". Elwes was born in London and has been active in theater, television, and film projects since 1979.
5. Mina Harker, Elisabeta

Answer: Winona Ryder

Winona Ryder, who played Mina and Elisabeta, is the reason the movie was made at all, according to Coppola. Winona had apparently felt guilty for pulling out of another of Coppola's projects, and brought this script to him with the offer to help him make it. Already a fan of "Nosferatu" and other horror films, Coppola jumped at the opportunity, and together they pulled together the all-star cast, which Coppola called "the jewels" of the film.
6. Lucy Westenra

Answer: Sadie Frost

Sadie Frost played the beautiful, flirtatious Lucy Westenra; to distinguish her character from Mina's, she colored her hair a vibrant red. She played the vixen with gusto, transforming from a coquettish English girl to an undead bride of Vlad.
7. Dr. Jack Seward

Answer: Richard E. Grant

Richard Grant played Jack Seward, the doctor who provided important backstory in the film with his knowledge of blood disorders and association with vampire hunter Van Helsing. Grant was born in Swaziland to British parents and maintains dual citizenship in those countries. Grant is the type of actor who shows up in all sorts of stories without standing out too much. From 2014 to 2016, for example, he could be seen in such varied shows as "Girls", "Downton Abbey" and "Game of Thrones".
8. Quincey P. Morris

Answer: Billy Campbell

Virginian-born Billy Campbell played Lucy's cowboy suitor Quincey P. Morris. Hearty and heroic, Quincey was determined to save Lucy from a horrible fate. Campbell has had a variety of roles, a notable one being a City Councilman in the American version of "The Killing" on AMC.
9. Count Dracula

Answer: Gary Oldman

Dracula was Gary Oldman's second starring role -- he also played Lee Harvey Oswald in 1991's "JFK". He was fully committed to his role as the Dark Prince, working closely with the makeup and costume designers to create his character's distinct looks, which change considerably throughout the film. He won a Saturn Award for Best Actor for his work.
10. R. M. Renfield

Answer: Tom Waits

Tom Waits played Renfield, the solicitor who served Dracula before Harker and who went insane. Waits was a particularly effective lunatic, with his gravelly voice adding an eerie element to the portrayal of a man made insane by his interactions with Dracula. While Waits had had several acting roles, he is more known as a singer-songwriter and has won multiple Grammy awards.
