Malin Ackerman plays Jupiter, also known as Silk Spectre II. Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays Edward Blake, also known as the Comedian, whose murder is the catalyst for the events of the film. Other members of the Watchmen include Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach, the film's main character, Patrick Wilson as Night Owl II. Billy Crudup plays Dr. Manhattan who is romantically linked to Jupiter/Silk Spectre II.

"Watchmen" is a superhero film set in the 1980s near the end of the Cold War when the United States and the Soviet Union appear to be heading toward using nuclear weapons. The Watchmen are a group of superheroes, some of whom are retired and work as government agents during the Cold War. When the Comedian, a former Watchman, is murdered Walter Kovacs (a.k.a. Rorschach played by Haley) warns the others that they could be in danger, only for them to ignore him.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays Patrick, the accidental husband to Uma Thurman's character Dr. Emma Lloyd. Lloyd is a radio therapist who advises Patrick's fiancée Sophia, played by Justin Machado, to dump him. In an act of revenge, Patrick forges marriage certificates to become Dr. Lloyd's husband before she can get married herself.

Colin Firth also stars in this film, playing Richard, Dr. Lloyd's fiancé.

"Mad Dog and Glory" is a crime comedy film starring Robert DeNiro and Uma Thurman. The film's main characters are Brian and Stephen McCaffrey, brother fire fighters played by William Baldwin and Kurt Russell, respectively. The brothers do not get along, which makes the arson investigations more difficult.

"Nights in Rodanthe" is about Jack and Adrienne, a separated couple played by Christopher Meloni and Diane Lane. Jack wants Adrienne back but she is unsure.
