Answer: Zero Dark Thirty

"Zero Dark Thirty" is a powerful and graphic film that focuses on how the United States was able to locate Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad, Pakistan and the mission undertaken to kill him. Kathryn Bigelow directed "Zero Dark Thirty" and Jessica Chastain starred as C.I.A. analyst Maya Lambert.
3. A quiz of this sort would be remiss not to include a question on "The Dark Knight". The evolution of Batman into the Dark Knight is discussed in the film's final lines. Which character speaks the following lines in "The Dark Knight"? "Because he's the hero that Gotham deserves but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he's not our hero, he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a dark knight".

4. What dark film stars Rufus Sewell as a man accused of murder who suffers from amnesia?

Answer: Dark City

The science-fiction film "Dark City" was released in 1998 and co-starred Kiefer Sutherland, Jennifer Connelly, and William Hurt. Similar to "Memento", the main character attempts to reconstruct his past while avoiding being caught by both the police and those responsible for his wife's death.
5. In what 2011 film does Shia LaBeouf star as a man who wants to live a normal life but gets involved in a war to protect humanity from aliens trying to bring back their planet Cybertron? 7. In the 2013 film "Star Trek Into Darkness", what dark character was revealed as the true identity of Commander John Harrison?

Answer: Khan, a genetically engineered superhuman

8. What director's cannon includes two dark films, "Darkman" and "Army of Darkness", as well as the more cheerful "Oz the Great and Powerful"?

Answer: Edge of Darkness

Thomas Craven does eventually discover who is responsible for the death of his daughter but he ends up dying of radiation poisoning. The main villain in the film, Darius Jedburgh, was originally supposed to be played by Robert De Niro but he left the project because of creative differences.

Although he's not De Niro, Ray Winstone did a solid job in the role of Jedburgh. "Edge of Darkness" followed a similar plot to a television miniseries from 1985 with the same name.
