In Disney's 1996 adaptation of the famous story, Quasimodo and Phoebus follow Esmerelda's medallion "map" to the Court of Miracles, the gypsies' hiding place under the streets of Paris. They are trying to find her to warn the gypsies about Frollo's plan to hunt them down and arrest them. Once they reach the underground tunnels, Quasimodo says the first line. Phoebus, lifting his feet in the muck, utters the second line.

They find Esmerelda and the gypsies, but it turns out to be a trap that leads Frollo right to them.

In "The Lion King" (1994), Simba believes himself to be responsible for his father's death and runs away from the Pridelands, later befriending Timon, the meerkat, and Pumbaa, the warthog. With Scar doing a bad job of being in charge of the pride, Nala goes out looking for food and finds Pumbaa.
