Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "You did something right." Who is Inigo speaking to?

Answer: Fezzik

At the end of the movie, after Prince Humperdinck has been defeated, Fezzik shows up with four white horses. Inigo congratulates him on his good work.
2. Who is asked, "Why are you doing that?"

Answer: Inigo

Vizzini, Fezzik and Inigo have taken Buttercup captive and are sailing towards the Cliffs of Insanity. As they sail, Inigo keeps looking behind them. Vizzini, annoyed, asks him why.
3. "It just is not fair." Which character hears these words spoken in the Pit of Despair?

Answer: Fezzik

Fezzik and Inigo hear Westley's scream in the village - the sound of ultimate suffering - and follow it to the grove where the secret entrance to the Pit of Despair is. They find Westley dead, as Fezzik confirms by putting his ear to Westley's chest to listen for a heartbeat. Inigo responds, "It just is not fair." From there, they go to find Miracle Max.
4. Who is asked, "Could this be a trap?"

Answer: Prince Humperdinck

As Prince Humperdinck and Count Rugen are examining the traces of the cliff-top duel, Count Rugen asks the Prince the question, to which Humperdinck responds, "I always think everything could be a trap - which is why I'm still alive."
5. "You never had it so good." This is spoken to which person in an argument?

Answer: Valerie

Valerie is upset at her husband, Miracle Max, "I'm not a witch, I'm your wife. But after what you just said, I'm not even sure I want to be that anymore."

Billy Crystal's character replies "You never had it so good." Valerie goes on to try to convince her husband to help, but he doesn't until Inigo says that helping Westley will hurt Humperdinck.
6. "Is everything clear to you?" is asked to which character?

Answer: Buttercup

After explaining to Buttercup how he became the Dread Pirate Roberts, Westley asks her if she understands everything. This happens immediately before the lightning sand incident.
7. "I can't leave him alone." Who is told this in the castle?

Answer: Inigo

Inigo has found the Count Rugen, the six-fingered man. Unexpectedly, though, Rugen flees from Inigo's challenge and leaves a locked door behind him. Unable to breach the door, Inigo asks for Fezzik's help. Fezzik, though, has Westley, who is still too weak to walk, and protests, "I can't leave him alone."
8. "You are wonderful!" Who hears these words?

Answer: Westley

Inigo and Westley are duelling atop the Cliffs and Westley begins to get the better of Inigo. Inigo makes this statement shortly before revealing that he is not, in fact, left-handed. The fight continues from there with Inigo using his right hand, and beginning to gain advantage - until Westley does the same thing.
9. "Your guess is as good as mine." To whom is this spoken?

Answer: Fezzik

Inigo feeds the chocolate-coated miracle pill to Westley, and Fezzik asks him, "How long do we have to wait before we know if the miracle works?" Inigo responds with the above quote. Westley immediately wakes up.
10. "Have a seat." Who is told to do this by Westley?

Answer: Prince Humperdinck

Prince Humperdinck has believed Westley's bluff at the end of the story, and Westley directs him to sit in a chair so that Buttercup can tie him up.
