After helping the girl on the bridge, Miranda goes home and kills her husband. The girl possesses Miranda to avenge her death, because she was killed by Doug at Willow Creek.

When Miranda is driving home she almost runs over a girl on the bridge. She tries to help her but gets possessed while doing so. The girl is Rachel Parsons. Rachel is the daughter of Phil Parsons.

After escaping the prison, Miranda goes to her house and takes the key from behind the porch light. When she gets inside she sees the crime scence. Miranda remembers killing Doug when she gets up stairs and sees blood on the floor.

When Miranda and Phil are talking inside her cell at the police station, Miranda finds out that he is the killer. When Miranda tries to get away, he tries to kill her.

When Miranda gets out of her cell for the first time, she finds a screwdriver and uses it to get into Pete's office. She finds on his computer that he looked up information on Rachel Parsons. Miranda prints a copy off the computer, but leaves when she sees Rachel on the monitor.
