Her nickname being, of course, Tree. Everyone calls her this, with the possible exceptions of her dad and the doctor Gregory in conversation with his wife. Tree must be short for Teresa.

Played by the delectable Israel Broussard. This actor was also in the film "The Bling Ring" which was directed by Sofia Coppola and starring Hermione herself, Emma Watson. I hope to see him go onto have a enormous career. Dude deserves it.

Answer: Lori, Tree's roommate

In an alternate ending included on the blu ray release of the film it is revealed that Stephanie, the doctor's wife, murders Tree in her hospital bed. We, the viewer, are meant to believe that the killer is John Tombs, however he is a patsy set up by the true killer. Poison is usually committed by the fairer sex. Tim just turns out to be overcompensating for something entirely else.

Answer: Danielle

Danielle would appear to be deeply in love, or just obsessed, with Nick, a minor character with whom Tree may, or may not, have been previously involved. Danielle was probably one of my all time favourite characters in the film. And the actress, Rachel Matthews, was phenomenal. She, too, deserves a magnificent career. Danielle is also one of the many suspects (of being Tree's killer).

Answer: Stabbed

We later learn that Tree dies in her sleep after having consumed a poisoned cupcake. The first time we see a Tree killed is by knife, before the day resets itself. Tree is almost shot by Tombs when Tree confronts him in his hospital room. Shooting is also how Tree finally puts down the maniac. Lori may have attempted to strangle Tree in their climactic showdown, but Tree breaks free. "Then I guess I'm gonna have to do it again."

Answer: Her birthday

Perhaps an obvious question, with an obvious answer, given the name of the film. Tree is in college, or a university. Tree is also a sorority sister. She lives in a sorority house off campus. Tree keeps waking up in a dorm room. "Am I in a dorm room?" She's not yet ready to get married and doesn't have a fiancé. Tree has not yet graduated and if the killer has their way, she may never.

Answer: Thrown off of a building

Tree dies many, many ways during the course of the film, but we never see her get thrown off of any building. Tree and Danielle are both hit by a bus whilst fighting in the street. Tree assumes that Danielle is the killer after having found the death card in Danielle's possession (a guy bumped into Danielle causing her to drop her armful of items and Tree picks them up). Tree does get blown up in a cop car and whacked with a baseball bat.

The birthday candle used to cause the explosion was a nice touch - perhaps giving away the true identity of the killer, or not.

Answer: Carter's dorm bed

Thankfully for Tree her trauma is not magnified by having to endure the humiliation of waking up in the middle of a football field or the boys locker room. And waking up in a dumpster is not the sort of film this film is. Also waking up in a coffin could be considered far too dark for the film which is lighter in tone. Morgue has been done ("Death Becomes Her").

Answer: Becky

I always felt sorry for poor Becky. She seemed nice enough and dastardly Danielle was always having a go. Becky was mistakenly knocked out by Tree in one of the many days. Becky also appears, in the background, when Danielle is being interviewed, comforting Emily, the sorority sister who witnessed, quite violently, Lori's spectacular demise. I like how Becky is given sort of a reprieve when Tree humiliates Danielle on Becky's behalf, Becky is seen laughing and when Tree and Carter share a smooch, Becky looks happy for them.

Answer: Ryan

He was, quite frankly, absolutely hilarious, having all, or most, of the best lines. Ryan had to sleep in his car so that Carter could get lucky with Tree. Ryan appears in almost every one of the new day resets.
