Hedwig sings "Wig in a Box" while she is alone in her trailer after Luther has left her. The lyrics that reveal her cocktail are "I look up from my vermouth on the rocks. The gift wrapped wig's still in the box of towering velveteen."

At this point in the movie, Hedwig is performing with her Korean back-up band. Towards the end of the song, she notices Tommy watching her, hidden behind some plants towards the rear of the restaurant, wearing a white shirt with the words "God doesn't believe in atheists" written on it.

Tommy has stolen all of Hedwig's songs and gained stardom from them, while Hedwig's band has collapsed. Hedwig is waiting in an alley when Tommy drives up in his limousine and picks her up. We see him write on the back of his cd and hand it to her. He has written "Hedwig Robinson" on the cd, giving her credit for writing the music and lyrics for his songs.

This is the second time we see Hedwig perform at Bilgewater's. "Origin of Love", which is based on a story from Plato's "Symposium", discusses how humans were originally two people "glued up back to back", and Zeus split them in two. Thor wanted to kill everyone with his hammer, but Zeus said he would use his "lightning like scissors" to cut everyone in half.

The scene right after Hedwig and Phyllis fail to attend Tommy's "private event" is in a laundromat.
