Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the name of Empress Nympho's captain of the guard?

Answer: Bob

Madeline Kahn gives us the answer in the scene in which she is on the litter, "Oh Bob, do I have any openings that this man might fit?" Any scene that has Madeline Kahn in it is sure to bring a laugh. She also starred in "Young Frankenstein" alongside Gene Wilder.
2. In the scenes that featured the French Revolution, what was Rimbaud's prison number?

Answer: 107

"What's a matter Pierre, cat got your tongue?" You can see the prison number in the scene when his daughter goes to the tower to free her father. During the French Revolution, the peasants rebelled against King Louis and Marie Antonette, who reportedly said "Let them eat cake." I'm sure she did not eat anything after they chopped off her head.
3. How many men did Empress Nympho pick as her escorts to the midnight orgy?

Answer: 7

"You made some very big decisions today." Madeline Kahn was one funny lady, she also starred in "Blazing Saddles" as Lily Von Stup.
4. What was the name of the actress that played the role of the unemployment agent?

Answer: Bea Arthur

"I'm on my wine break." Bea Arthur is a wonderful actress who was excellent on daytime TV as well as the big screen, as shown in "Maude" and my personal favorite, "The Golden Girls." Betty White was also in "The Golden Girls", Madeline Kahn played the role of Empress Nympho, and Mary-Margaret Humes played the role of Miriam, the Vestal Virgin.
5. How many parts did Mel Brooks play?

Answer: 5

Mel Brooks had 5 roles: Comicus, Moses, Torquemada, King Louis, and the "double in case of trouble," during the French Revolution. Mel is one of the greatest actors and a very funny man, well at least he makes me laugh.
6. What year did the first homosexual marriage take place?

Answer: 1 million BC

The answer can be found in the caveman scene. It came after the first homo sapian marriage, according to the movie. This scene also showed the birth of the artist as well as the critic.
7. How many people were in the stone age choir?

Answer: 9

"For mankind, it began by an accident." They say that music is a universal language, but this is one choir I would not want to be a part of, seeing as how the conductor hit the people to make them "sing".
8. How many eunuchs protected the Vestal Virgins?

Answer: 3

"He is a eunuch." "He is a eunuch." "He is dead." Eunuchs were "made" to protect the harems of kings and emperors, since they had no desire to romance the women. The answer can be seen when Comicus and Josephous are hiding in the room containing the Vestal Virgins. Josephous is pretending to be a eunuch and the guards bring in a belly dancer to make sure all of the men are indeed eunuchs.
9. Where was the annual Orgy and Buffet going to be held?

Answer: Temple of Eros

"First Served First Come" which is stated on the banner at the beginning of the Roman Empire scene, the Romans were well known for their orgies and baths...wonder how the two were connected.
10. In the Inquisition scene, how many nuns were there?

Answer: 16

This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie, imagine Torquemada played by a Jewish actor, Mel Brooks, what an oxymoron. All the information, the questions, the answers, and the extra stuff, including the title and names of the actors and actresses came directly from the movie.
