Larry, the desk clerk, definitely has secrets. He has pornographic pictures of women in his trailer with bad words written across them. He carries a baseball bat everywhere he goes. He got his current job by finding the body of the previous manager at the motel, and just decided to stay.

He does not want to rent a room to Paris, because she's a hooker. He tries to ignore her and wait on the young married couple, Lou and Ginny.

Ed is the last to speak, and he just says, "Yeah."
