Ed is starting to feel like his reality is about to change. He is putting the pieces together, desperately trying to figure things out before time slips away.

Answer: The doctor

Ed is now between two worlds, but thinking that he is totally Ed, and not someone else. He has no idea who he really is.

on-screen, switches over to Malcolm's. Malcolm goes into a tantrum over losing his identity with Ed, his life in Los Angeles, and his problems at the motel that he is trying to solve.

The action speeds up here and everybody wants this all to come to an end. Rhodes is now the paranoid character, as he realizes that Paris knows who he really is. He must stop her from telling Ed and Larry. All Rhodes wants to do is get in the truck and leave, but no one can tell him where the keys to the truck are.
9. Ed appears out of nowhere, finds Paris, and calms her down. He pins her up against the wall and tells her to stay where she is. Rhodes and Ed face off. They both shoot and Rhodes dies first.

Rhodes gets several shots off first. Ed makes his way to Rhodes, even after being shot several times, and unloads his gun at point-blank range into Rhode's torso.
