Jack's parents are doing the conga when she first feels her contractions. There are two women dressed as cats who sit by and make comments about Jack's mom binging on food, unaware at the time that Karen is pregnant.

Although she is only two months along in her pregnancy, Karen goes into early labour during the Halloween party. As she is being rushed into the hospital, there is a large sign that says "St. Vincent's Hospital".

Dr. Lin, played by Keone Young, was from Cornell. He had explained to the Powell's that their baby's cells were developing at 4 times their regular rate. So even though Karen was technically only 10 weeks pregnant, her baby was physcially 9 months of age and ready to leave the womb.

Because of Jack's disability, at the age of one, physically he would be aged 4. At the age of 10 he would look like a 40 year old man. This is explained by Dr. Lin when Jack was first born.

Bill Cosby plays the fun loving Mr. Lawrence Woodruff. He comes to Jack's house everyday to tutor and interact with him. I have to admit, I got a little misty with his 'shooting star' story at the end.

Jack first covers the eyeball in some fake slime and then tosses the eyeball out the window. Louis picks up the eyeball while the other three boys, Eddie, George and John-John run screaming.

After Jack trips over his laces, he learns how Alexander had already conquered most of the Greeks, and that Alexander learned everything from his tutor Aristotle.

Brian bangs on the ceiling and yells for Jack and his mom to knock it off. He does this, however, with a smile. My dad never did that with a smile, but that's besides the point. Brian is in his dark room, which is located in the basement.

Brian is seen in his dark room, near the beginning, while Jack and his mom are playing Marco Polo. Later on we see his Dad come home with his equipment, which he places down onto the floor. Then when Jack calls his dad to tell him that he got picked to play basketball and that he had a pal, Brian tells Jack that's he shooting an ad layout for carrots.

Diane Lane was born on January 22, 1965 in New York. She plays Jack's mom Karen Powell. Ironically she is 14 years younger than Robin Williams. Brian Kerwin was born on October 25, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, and he plays Jack's father Brian Powell.
Robin Williams was born on July 21, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, and he, of course, plays Jack!

Nathaniel Hawthorne was born on July 4, 1804 in Salem, Massachusetts. He died on May 19, 1864 in Plymouth, New Hampshire. Nathaniel is the author of the classic fiction novel, "The Scarlet Letter". F. Scott Fitzgerald is the author of "The Great Gatsby". J. D. Salinger wrote the novel, "Catcher in the Rye", and Tennessee Williams wrote "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and "A Streetcar Named Desire".

Al Nalbandian plays Principal McGee. Al was born on September 15, 1921. He has had small roles in other movies such as, "Peggy Sue Got Married", "So I Married An Axe Murderer" and "American Graffiti".
When Principal McGee introduces himself to Jack and his parents, Jack calls him Mr. Magoo by accident.

Jack's teacher at his new school is Miss Marquez, played by Jennifer Lopez. J-Lo, as everyone seems to be calling her, later went on to star in her own feature films such as, "The Wedding Planner", "Out Of Sight", "Maid in Manhattan" and "The Cell".
