Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who plays the main protagonist Jupiter Jones?

Answer: Mila Kunis

Mila Kunis is the real life incarnation of Jupiter Jones. Her name [Jupiter] is unusual because her father wanted to name a child after his favorite planet; then he was killed before Jupiter was born. Jupiter has exactly the same genetic patterns, called recurrence, as now deceased Seraphi Abrasax, matriarch of the House of Abrasax. Jupiter's mother, Aleksa Bolotnikov, was played by Maria Doyle Kennedy. Kalique, daughter of Seraphi, was played by Tuppence Middleton. Charlotte Beaumont plays Stinger's daughter Kiza, whom Jupiter met at a porch of a farmhouse.
2. Which of these metropoles on Earth did the movie have its scenes?

Answer: Chicago

Chicago is the hometown of Jupiter Jones and her family. Keepers, which are alien creatures, stormed the city to attack Jupiter using energy-directed beams, leaving some buildings and structures damaged, but damages were quickly reverted by keepers to hide the evidence of attack while wiping out memories of attacks from witnesses.
3. Who protects Jupiter?

Answer: Caine

Caine Wise, played by Channing Tatum, helps Jupiter to survive through the movie. For example, after one of Balem's agents decided to kill Jupiter in a clinic after revealing her true identity, Caine stormed in and killed the agents. During the attacks by keepers, Caine protects her by using a shield to fend off beam projectiles. Also Caine on anti-gravity boots saved free-falling Jupiter.

Jupiter's mother Aleksa stayed home throughout the movie.
4. Jupiter was revealed to be galactic royalty after manipulating what insects?

Answer: bees

Swarms of bees are seen all over Stinger's property. While visiting Stinger's residence, a swarm of bees surrounded Jupiter, then she manipulates them. Thankfully none of those stung her! Stinger's family apparently don't feel threatened when having bees in their house.
5. Kalique said a prominent quote: "____ is the single most precious commodity in the universe". Which word fills the blank?

Answer: time

"Time is the single most precious commodity in the universe" may imply that there is only so much time left of their lives. Time is more precious to old people.
6. What effect does RegeneX have on humans?

Answer: extends their lifespans

RegeneX is harvested from humans and manufactured by Abrasax Industries. RegeneX is used to replace old cells with new cells, extending their lifespans. Wealthy people who use them can live for millenia, including Kalique, who is 14,004 years old during the movie, while her mother, Seraphi, lived for nearly 91,000 years until she was murdered. Kalique's brothers Balem and Titus are also living for about 14 millennia.
7. Who attempts to marry Jupiter in order to override her inheritance?

Answer: Titus

Jupiter agrees to marry Titus who then revealed his plan to kill her in order for him to inherit Earth. Then before completing the marriage, Caine swoops in and takes Jupiter away from Titus.
8. Where is the refinery?

Answer: under the Great Red Spot on Jupiter

The refinery is where harvested products were processed. The safe access to the refinery can only be granted by a control center. The refinery is owned by Balem, first primary of the House of Abrasax.
9. What special gift did Jupiter get after returning to Earth?

Answer: a telescope

First, her family didn't want her a telescope. Jupiter secretly placed bid for a $3,990 telescope on eBay after donating her eggs for money. Then after happily returning to Earth safely and increased appreciation from her family, Jupiter got a telescope as a reward.
10. During the final scene of the movie, Jupiter kisses her boyfriend at which landmark?

Answer: Willis Tower

While they're dating, Jupiter kisses Caine on top of the Willis Tower in Chicago. One of the incorrect choices - Adler Planetarium - is also in Chicago. I imagine she went there with Caine after the events of the movie and she loved it! Statue of Liberty and Sydney Opera House are located in cities where they're not shown in the movie. Thus once you know the city where the movie takes place as you answered in question #2, these two can be thrown out the window as long as you know where these landmarks are located.
