Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 'Damn it Leo. I left my clothes on the boat.'

Answer: Titanic

Women in the 1910's were apparently more modern than you would have thought.
2. 'Quidditch. Sounds like a stupid game to me...'

Answer: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Quidditch was obviously designed by someone who didn't watch a lot of sports (most of the players are pointless). Trivia - the film was known by different names in the UK ('Philosopher's Stone') and US ('Sorcerer's Stone').
3. 'Help me Donald ... all my friends have been killed by a mime artist.'

Answer: Halloween

When I saw 'Halloween' at age 10, I found it really scary. A couple of years later, it occurred to me that Michael Myers looked and moved like Marcel Marceau, and it was never quite the same again.
4. 'One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a AAAAAARRGH.'

Answer: The Birds

Anyone who can make magpies frightening really knows how to direct.
5. 'No. I don't understand it either. More cherry pie?'

Answer: Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me

All very confusing. In case, like me, you get David Lynch films mixed up, 'Twin Peaks' is the one with the pie.
6. 'Don't shoot me. I LIKE Cajun chicken.'

Answer: Southern Comfort

An excellent swamp-based film from the early 80s. Whatever happened to Powers Boothe?
7. 'Stop. Just because Bobby Gentry's written a song about you is no reason to kill yourself.'

Answer: Ode to Billy Joe

Never saw the film myself, but I like the song.
8. 'It's your beachball Chief. You go in and get it.'

Answer: Jaws

One of my all-time favourite films. Still frightening after 25 years. I'm sure I heard they were going to do a re-mastered version, with a more realistic shark - anyone know what happened to this?
9. 'Stella. Stella. Hide behind the sofa - your sister's coming.'

Answer: A Streetcar Named Desire

I'm sorry. I find Blanche Dubois annoying.
10. 'Who will fight the evil trading card monster? I choose you, 'More interesting hobby'.'

Answer: Pokemon: The First Movie

Isn't it ominous, that it's only 'The First Movie.'
