Duckie was Andie's good friend who found he loved her and wanted to be more than friends, but unfortunately she didn't feel the same way. Duckie was played by Jon Cryer, whom I think was a cutie in the movie. The role was originally going to be played by Anthony Michael Hall, but he turned it down. I'm glad he did! You can now see Jon Cryer playing Alan on CBS's "Two and a Half Men".
