This line is spoken several times in the movie by Raymond Babbitt (played by Dustin Hoffman). The first is when yuppie Charlie Babbitt (played by Tom Cruise) learns he has an autistic brother who is living in the group home Walbrook in Cincinnati and goes to visit him.

Answer: The Sting

Set in 1936, "The Sting" is about a pair of Chicago con artists (played by Paul Newman and Robert Redford) who want to avenge the death of their mutual friend Luther (played by Robert Earl Jones). The hit had been ordered by mob boss Doyle Lonnegan (played by Robert Shaw) because Luther had taken part in a con of a numbers runner who was carrying Lonnegan's money.

The young con artist, Johnny Hooker (Redford), sizes up Lonnegan in a train station and says, "He's not as tough as he thinks." The older Henry Gondorff (Newman) quickly replies, "Neither are we." Hooker suggests they shoot him, but Gondorff says he might fire back and then says this quote.

They decide instead to run an elaborate con on Lonnegan, and the result is an extremely entertaining movie.

In the 1974 Academy Awards, "The Sting" won seven Oscars, including Best Picture. Much of the music in "The Sting" (known as ragtime) was written by African-American composer Scott Joplin around the beginning of the 20th century (with musical adaptations for the movie by Marvin Hamlisch).
