Quotes from "The Alien Quadrilogy" Quiz

This quote is spoken by Dillon (Charles S. Dutton) to Ripley (Sigourney Weaver). In saying this he is describing to her the brotherhood of the prison population on Fiorina 'Fury' 161. They are an apocalyptic millenarian Christian fundamentalist group composed of rapists, thieves and murderers. Ripley does not offer a verbal response, but seems a bit intimidated.

This quote is spoken to the group by Kane (John Hurt). Parker (Yaphet Kotto) responds by saying, "I don't wanna know what it's made of". The crew is having a final meal before returning to cryogenic sleep for their trip back to Earth. Their jovial meal is soon interrupted when an alien bursts from Kane's chest.

All four of the "Alien" movies have a meal scene that takes place before the onset of interactions with the alien(s). The original "Alien" has two meal scenes.

This quote is spoken by Van Leuwen (Paul Maxwell) to Ripley. She responds by saying she blew the alien out of the airlock. The committee examining Ripley's account of the situation are less impressed by her alien story than they are of the explosion of the Nostromo (valued at 42 million in adjusted dollars). Ripley is stripped of her Flight Officer status and ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation.

This quote is yelled by Ripley to the Nostromo's computer system named Mother (Helen Horton). Mother's response to Ripley's request is, "The ship will automatically destruct in T-minus five minutes." Mother's countdown of the final seconds provides the tension and drama leading up to Ripley's narrow escape on the lifeboat ship.

This quote is said by David Purvis (Leland Orser) in reference to Annalee Call (Winona Rider) when the group discover she is a robot. This discovery is crucial to the story because Annalee can communicate with the ship's mainframe to facilitate the group's escape.

Annalee is a "robot designed by robots". She is one of the last few models of her kind. It is even mentioned that her kind buried the synthetic industry which would make her one of the last remaining androids in existence. Like Bishop (Lance Henriksen) in "Aliens" and "Alien 3", she is a good robot. She was not sabotaged like Ash (Ian Holm) in "Alien".

Ripley says this to the alien as she provokes it to kill her. Of course, it cannot respond verbally. But it does prove to her that it will not kill her because she is impregnated with a queen. This alien is a special alien designed to protect the host until the queen is born.

Ripley says this to Burke (Paul Reiser) as he explains his plans to return the facehugger specimens to Earth. He responds by saying, "How can they impound it if they don't know about it?"

Burke's plan is to have Ripley and Newt (Carrie Henn) impregnated by the facehuggers and frozen for the trip home. This way the quarantine will not suspect anything since the embryos will be implanted in their bodies. He is also planning to sabotage the Marines' freezers and eject their bodies into space somewhere along the way. This will allow him to make up any story he likes and get away with his plot. Burke says, "Those two specimens are worth millions to the Bio-Weapons Division".

This is Ripley's full response and summation of what is happening to Larry Purvis after his repeated inquiries as to "what's inside of me?!" Like Ripley, he is merely a specimen to the research efforts of The Company. Ripley's DNA was collected from the Fury 161 prison planet and the aliens were cloned, as she was.

"Alien Resurrection" continues the storyline of the Bio-Weapons Division's hopes of taming the aliens and using them as weapons. This storyline is touched on in "Alien 3", but is not fully developed since both remaining alien specimens and Ripley are killed by the end of "Alien 3".

Bishop tells this to Ripley when she is inquiring if there was an alien on board with them as they were ejected from the Sulaco. He tells her that there was an alien on board and The Company knows about it. She responds by saying, "And they want it".

Bishop's character is reprised at the end of the movie when a new Bishop arrives claiming he is human and wants to help Ripley with ridding herself of the queen alien. It is very unclear whether or not he is actually human or a sabotaged robot. At one point it appears that he has red blood stains from a head wound dished out by the character 85. Since androids have white fluid for blood, it would seem he is human. By the same token, his head wound does not seem to hurt him or affect his actions in any way.

Ripley says this to the Orange Tabby when Burke re-unites them after their long cryogenic sleep that lasted 57 years. Jonesy is not taken with Ripley back to LV-426. He instead stays on Gateway Station.

Jones is not credited in either "Alien" or "Aliens". He is only referred to as "Jones" or "Jonesy" in both movies.
