Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The film opened to a newscast highlighting the war torn city of Detroit. The police force was on strike and the new crime was based around a new product called "Nuke". Even a cult, run by a man named Kain, was formed to sell and distribute "Nuke". What kind of product was "Nuke"?

Answer: Drug

"Nuke" was mentioned in the beginning of the film as the most addictive drug in history. A linked article within the film's newscast talked of how the Surgeon General was gunned down because of his disapproval to "Nuke"'s existence. "Nuke" was a bright red drug. It was taken by injecting it into the neck.
2. The police were on strike, primarily because Omni Consumer Products initiated it. Which of the following did OCP not do to initiate the police strike?

Answer: De-commissioned police vehicles and Robocop

With the reasons the police gave, it was no surprise that they went on strike. There were few active officers who were not on strike. Among them were Officer Anne Lewis, Sergeant Reed, and Robocop/Officer Murphy. The person who ended the strike, later in the film, was Murphy.
3. The city of Detroit had become a cesspool of crime and despair since the events of the first film. Four thugs decided that, to get superiority on the streets, they should rob a gun shop. The robbery was going smoothly until Robocop arrived. Robocop questioned one of the crooks about "Nuke". What was the main question that Robocop repeatedly asked?

Answer: Where is it made?

When Robocop was approaching the trashed gun shop, the criminals unloaded hundreds of rounds of ammunition, including a rocket, into Robocop's Ford Taurus. When Robocop stepped out of the vehicle, their plan was faltered. Robocop shot down three of the men and then shot one in the arm to immobilize him. Robocop grabbed some "Nuke" from the front seat of the man's car and asked him where it was made.

The guy did not give a legible answer until Robocop grabbed him by the nostrils and slowly began to lift him. With that little motivation, a small drug factory's location was revealed.
4. Robocop followed a thug's tip to a "Nuke" factory where Kain set up shop. Robocop quickly subdued the factory before he was temporarily caught off-guard by a criminally inclined child. How was he caught off-guard?

Answer: Despite his inability to target kids, the kid shot him straight in the face.

When he first noticed that the kid was packing heat, Robocop tried to target him. The problem was that his targeting system did not allow him to target children. The kid said a string of profanities to Robocop before shooting Robocop in the face. The shot disoriented Robocop, sending him into a flashback where the kid who shot him was compared to his kid. Kain managed to escape in the meantime.
5. After taking out the "Nuke" facility, Robocop/Murphy parked out in front of his wife and son's home. Robocop was questioned by her lawyer for that stunt. After the lawyer left, Mrs. Murphy arrived to talk to Murphy. To cause no more trouble, for him or her, Robocop did the worst thing possible by saying what?

Answer: He did not know her.

Murphy was told that his wife wouldn't leave her house for a long time, and she needed months of counseling and hypnotism to overcome Alex's death. Alex Murphy's wife arrived after her lawyers left to talk to her robotic husband, thinking that there was still humanity left in him. Even though there was, Murphy was told by the lawyers that he would never be able to love her, kiss her, or grow old with her like he would have been able to in life. To help her move on with her life, he told her that the face was done as an honor to her husband and that Murphy was dead and he did not know her.

She ran away, heartbroken and confused.
6. The mayor of Detroit went to OCP headquarters to meet with their CEO. The city was in debt thirty-seven million dollars, and didn't have much time to pay it. What did the CEO of Omni Consumer Products plan to do to Detroit if the money could not be raised?

Answer: Privatize it and turn it into Delta City.

The mayor's meeting with OCP was very heated and intense. The reason that OCP would get the city, if the money could not be raised, was because the mayor apparently signed a contract allowing them to. The mayor called the CEO senile and threatened to sue the company. The CEO, unaffected by the comment, told the mayor to go ahead and try.
7. The Robocop was a state of the art machine, but it was not enough for Detroit. To battle the increasing number of crimes, a Robocop-2 had to be created. The CEO of OCP was shown two examples and was horrified at what he saw. What was wrong with the two Robocop-2 prototypes?

Answer: One of them started shooting random people and the other became self-aware of its death and short-circuited.

To try and phase out the Murphy Robocop, OCP tried to give a few options to the CEO. Both of the options were abysmal. The first one started shooting the scientists, before shooting itself. The second one pulled off its face mask and exposed its naked skull.

It then let out a horrible scream before dropping dead. The CEO of OCP was disappointed at the low-quality machines set before him. A new female scientist named Dr. Faxx put forward the idea that police officers were not the best choice for the Robocop-2 project.

The CEO proceeded to ask about why Murphy worked. Dr. Faxx acknowledged the functionality of Murphy, taking into account that he was a dutiful person, a family man, and a devout Irish Catholic. The company CEO allowed her to create a screening process to find a new type of person for the Robocop-2.
8. Officer Duffy, a highly corrupted police officer, revealed police routes to a criminal child and his gang. After being paid for his trouble, Officer Duffy was also offered something extra. What was he offered?

Answer: A container of "Nuke"

After being given the money, Officer Duffy was offered a box of "Nuke". Duffy did not want the drugs, but the kid managed to persuade him to take it. Robocop and Officer Lewis were listening to the conversation so they were shocked when they heard the news. To prevent the death of more officers, Robocop caught Officer Duffy. Robocop beat up the corrupt officer and gathered intel as to the location of Kain.
9. After questioning Officer Duffy as to where Kain was located, Robocop promptly decided to go there. In his struggle to try and capture Kain, Robocop was injured. The first bit of damage he sustained, which crippled him, was the loss of his hand. Which hand was taken off by the criminals?

Answer: right

Kain was in plain sight and Robocop was ready to apprehend him. Before he could, however, his right hand was shot off by a machine gun turret. It was rather ironic because Murphy was killed after his right hand was shot off in the first film. After his hand was shot off, Robocop was electrocuted, magnetized, and disassembled before being left in the police parking lot as a dilapidated pile of metal.
10. Doctor Faxx had acquired the right to screen people for the Robocop-2. During her screening project, another scientist walked by and noticed something very wrong with the people she was screening. What was the problem with the people?

Answer: They were death-row inmates.

The other scientist showed great discomfort with screening death-row inmates for the Robocop-2 program. He explained that they were socially misaligned, criminals, and unstable elements. An executive named Mr. Johnson let the CEO know about Dr. Faxx's plans, but the CEO ignored him, primarily due to the fact that he was having intimate relations with Dr. Faxx.
