5. John Cusack plays a man named Nicholas Easter, who is anxious to get out of the jury duty he is summoned for. He explains to the judge that he wants to get out of jury duty to compete in the Madden Challenge, which has to do with playing football video games. The judge responds to this by making him juror number _____?

Answer: 9

During jury selection, Fitch's side was closely monitoring Easter. They saw him as a risk because they had very limited information on him. They ended up accepting him.
6. In the next courtroom session, both the lawyers receive a card with all of the jurors heads pasted on. On the back of this card it said, "You can't buy the jurors with lunch and $16 a day." Neither of the lawyers believe that anything will happen, so they discard the card. Who sent these cards?

Answer: Marlee

Marlee (Rachel Weisz) later requested 10 million dollars from each lawyer, so that she could swing the vote either way. Little did either of the lawyers know, she was in with Nicholas Easter, who had made up his little act to ensure himself a spot in the final jury. Wendall Rohr began to pay, but in the end decided not to. Fitch offered her 500,000 dollars, which angered Marlee.

His price was now up to 15 million, which he paid.
7. Next, Fitch tries blackmailing a few of the jurors. One of them is Millie Dupree. Her husband, Hoppy Dupree, is in the real estate business and Fitch threatens to throw him in jail for life if she doesn't vote for Fitch. Which of these actors plays Millie?

Answer: Rusty Schwimmer

Rusty also starred in "The Perfect Storm", "Edtv", and "Twister". Deacon Dawson plays Hoppy Dupree, has only been in a couple things including: "Two Soldiers", "Body Count", and "Paradise Falls".
8. Nicholas Easter is in cohorts with the blackmailer, but the lawyers don't know that. They find out only when one of Fitch's men goes to Gardner, Indiana, to the blackmailer's home to interview the mother and find out how to catch him or her. This man discovers that the blackmailer's sister died in a high school shooting. The town pressed charges against the gun company, exactly like Celeste Wood, but Rankin Fitch won the jury over by using his tactics to select them. What is the blackmailer's sister's name?

Answer: Margaret

Marlee's real name was Gabrielle, or Gaby as her mother calls her. In the end, even though Fitch pays the 15 million, Easter and Marlee let the jury vote with their hearts. Celeste Wood wins the case, and is awarded, in total, 111 million dollars! In the movie, this is the first time a jury has voted against a major gun manufacturing company.
