After killing and disposing of her body in a garbage truck, Angela heads off to camp as Maria Nicastro. Since it was filmed back-to-back with "Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers", in a six-week period, the same set was used for both films. This was a YMCA youth camp in Atlanta, Georgia. Pamela Springsteen, sister of 'The Boss', returns for her second outing as transsexual psychopath, Angela Baker.

While Snowboy is "making art", Peter throws a lit firecracker next to Angela. As if inspired by the firecracker, Snowboy begins to spray paint wild designs all over the tent and excitedly shouts, "Party all night! Teenage wasteland". The movie's subtitle "Teenage Wasteland" comes from one of director Michael A. Simpson's favorite songs, The Who's "Baba O'Reilly".

While Tony escorts Marcia into the woods, upon Barney's request, they hear twigs snapping and what sounds like footsteps. The two get a little nervous until a raccoon appears from the brush.

After killing off everyone in her original group, Angela heads over to the next group. Lilly's campsite happens to be on the former location of the abandoned cabin, now torn down, where Angela stored the campers' bodies during her reign of terror the year before. Wanting to be part of the group she tells Lilly that she's supposed to switch with someone.

She then walks Arab back to Herman's deceased group and upon arriving kicks her into a tent. When she starts to crawl out, Angela decapitates her and proceeds to take her place in Lilly's group.

Upon setting up their campsite, Barney mentions to his group that his son Sean was murdered there last year. Later on, Anita asks him about Angela Baker. Nobody's sure exactly what she looks like, since there were no survivors from when she was a counselor at Camp Rolling Hills the previous year, and the only pictures of her are from seven years ago. Once she turned eighteen her juvenile records were destroyed.

After killing Arab, Angela returns to join her new group in 'sharing and caring time'. The first thing Lilly asks her group to discuss are their favorite films. The Angel of Death prefers Steven Spielberg's 1982 hit about a stranded alien and his friendship with a ten year old boy.

During their 'trust game' Lilly, often seen flipping through 'Cruise Travel' magazine, tells Angela that she and her husband are planning a trip to Europe. Between the expense of the trip and the campground's history, the couple have managed to neglect the camp.

Maria Nicastro is quickly disposed of by an Angela-manned garbage truck and upon arriving at camp, reporter Tawny Richards is given a lethal dose of "cocaine". Counselors Herman Miranda, Lilly Miranda and Barney Whitmore are all "taken care of". Almost every one of the campers; Jan Hernandez, Peter Doyle, Snowboy, Arab, Cindy Hammersmith, Bobby Stark, Riff, Greg Nakashima and Anita Burcham; are murdered.

Then, after hearing the police officer and paramedic in the back of the ambulance discussing whether or not they should let her live, they become her last two victims. Marsha Holland and Tony DeHerrara are the only ones to survive this year's bloodbath. Most of the characters in the film are named after characters from "West Side Story", "The Brady Bunch" and "The Munsters".

Angela, half conscious in the back of the ambulance, hears the police officer and paramedic discussing whether or not they should let her live. She grabs a needle and stabs the two men with what little strength she has left. Upon hearing the commotion the driver demands to know what's going on back there, to which she replies, "Just taking care of business".
