Years before playing Hannibal, Anthony Hopkins did a movie in which he was a magician who used a ventriloquist doll in his act. However, when he wasn't on stage, he imagined the doll was telling him to do things. People my age remember a creepy TV commercial in which the ugly doll popped up right in the middle of the evening news and said a creepy rhyme about how it liked to kill people.

It was one of the ugliest dolls ever created.

In the Oscar-winning movie "The Silence of the Lambs", the dangerous Hannibal had been temporarily moved to a cage in a courthouse after telling a female senator about the murderer who had kidnapped her daughter. The two policemen carefully handcuffed him to a bar before entering the cage. Hannibal picked the lock, handcuffed one of the cops, and beat them to death.

In the follow-up to "The Silence of the Lambs", Hannibal Lecter got captured by Mason Verger, a billionaire ex-patient of Hannibal, who had hired people to train hogs to eat human flesh. However, Clarice Starling showed up and tried to arrest everyone. Hannibal convinced someone to throw the billionaire to the hogs.

The movie doesn't mention the complicated story of the billionaire's sister. To find out about her, you have to read the book "Hannibal" and watch season two of the TV show "Hannibal".

Answer: Red Dragon

Hannibal was locked up when Will Graham asked him questions about how the Tooth Fairy, also known as the Red Dragon, was picking his victims. Hannibal never really told Will, but he did get interested enough in the case that he found out Will's address and sent a message to the Red Dragon. Later, when everyone thought the Red Dragon had been burned alive, he showed up at Will's house.

Answer: Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home

In "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" a machine from outer space created terrible storms all over the world because it was trying to talk to a humpbacked whale, but there were no more humpbacked whales. Mr. Spock told Capt. Kirk that they had to go back in time, collect two humpbacked whales, and bring them back to the future to tell the machine to go away. Think about it.

Not only is it the first time they ever purposely time traveled with an animal, but this is two of the largest animals who ever lived surrounded by an enormous amount of water, and they were hoping the whales would say the right thing to the giant machine.

Answer: The Toolbox Murders (1978)

There was a more recent movie with the name "Toolbox Murders" which was a completely different story. Near the end of the movie, a teenager figured out that his friend's uncle was the killer. When the teenager told his friend, the friend unexpectedly turned violent and killed the teenager. The nephew of the killer found out his uncle had a girl tied to a bed and killed his uncle.

Answer: Star Trek: First Contact

"Star Trek: First Contact" began with the end of a space battle between the part-human/part-machine Borg collective and the Federation which was happening on the TV series "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine". The Enterprise was ordered to stay away, because Capt. Picard had previously temporarily been taken over by the Borg. Picard decided to try to help anyway, and got there just in time to see a tiny surviving Borg ship disappear into a timewarp.

The ship's computer told them that the Borg did something in the past to prevent the Federation from ever existing, so the Enterprise followed the Borg into the past to prevent the Borg from doing whatever they did.

It was discovered that the Borg had stopped an astronaut from using warpdrive to travel around the solar system, which led to the first meeting between an Earthling and a Vulcan, the beginning of the Federation. Picard's mission was to prevent the Borg from preventing the first warpdrive flight.

Answer: Leonard Part Six

This was a movie every critic said was horrible. Maybe it was intended to make fun of "I Spy", or spy movies in general, or Bill Cosby in particular. Cosby starred in "Leonard Part Six" which implied it was the sixth in a series of spy movies, but it was the only movie in the series.

The story was that animals were killing CIA agents. Leonard, who now owned an expensive restaurant, was called out of retirement to investigate. A bunch of frogs got under a car and hopped it into the bay. Meanwhile, Leonard's daughter wanted to marry an old man, and Leonard held up a bottle of Coke the whole time he talked to her about it. Leonard's wife had left him because she saw him in a hot tub naked with a 19-year-old woman. Leonard stole the sphere which controlled the animals and insects.

His ex-wife was kidnapped. To save her, he returned the sphere.

Answer: Ferris Bueller's Day Off

It was only in one scene, but after convincing his parents that he was at home sick in bed, he went to school to check his girl friend out of class, by pretending to be his girlfriend's father in front of the principal. The principal later got into trouble in the movie when he tried to prove Ferris wasn't really sick in bed. Of course, the movie involved a bunch of stuff Ferris and his friends did in one day when they should've been at school.

Answer: House of 1000 Corpses

In one of Rob Zombie's early directorial efforts, the movie "House of 1000 Corpses" featured some young people looking for Dr. Satan, someone they should've never looked for. One girl was tied up and hoped her father would rescue her. Later, her father and the sheriff showed up looking for her, but they were murdered by the family of killers. Later, one of the killers wore her father's face and kissed her.
