Answer: John

John says this to Claire when she goes to visit him in the closet that Mr. Vernon locks him in. Claire had said earlier in the film that her parents each spoil her and try and out-do the other. John says this in reference to that and, as they are from very different social circles, (John's a stoner and trouble maker and Claire's a rich prep) they know that it would cause a stir if they were to date.

Answer: Allison

Allison says this when the group is sitting in a circle, having a heart to heart discussion about life. They all come to find that they each have rough home lifes. Allison's parents ignore her and it has taken its toll on her.

Answer: Brian

Brian says this at the start of the film. He is sitting at a table trying to figure out how to write the essay that Mr. Vernon assigned the group. The assignment is to write an essay telling Mr. Vernon who each of the teens thinks they are. Brian is talking to himself when he says this.

Answer: Andrew

The teens are going through each other's wallets and purses to pass the time, when Andrew reads Brian's fake I.D. When Andrew asks Brian why he needs a fake I.D., Brian says its so he can vote.
Anthony Michael Hall (Brian) was the youngest member of the cast. He was sixteen years old when the film was shot.

Answer: John

John says this to Mr. Vernon at the start of the film. John steals a screw out of the library door so it will stay closed and Mr. Vernon can't watch the group. Mr. Vernon makes Andrew drag a newspaper rack and prop the door open. This is what John says in response to that, causing Mr. Vernon to let the door stay closed. John knows that Mr. Vernon is very concerned with his image and says this to play into that concern.

Answer: Claire

Claire yells this at John, after he tells her that her name is a fat girl's name. John goes on to describe, in detail, how Claire will become fat after she has a few children. Interesting fact, Judd Nelson, who played John in the film, was accused of bullying actress Molly Ringwald (Claire) during production because, as a method actor he stayed in character when they weren't filming. Ringwald would go on to later say that she didn't feel as though she was being bullied by Nelson and dismissed Nelson's on set behavior as just a part of his acting style. That must have been a very interesting film set. I can only imagine the things that were coming out of his mouth.

Answer: Brian

Brian says this when John is making fun of Andrew, who is a wrestler for the school team. Andrew responds "I wear the required uniform.", which Brian points out is tights.
Interesting fact, Emilio Estevez, who played Andrew was actually originally cast as John Bender but John Hughes, the film's director, couldn't find anyone he liked to play Andrew. Estevez took the role and Judd Nelson was hired to play John.

Answer: Mr. Vernon

This line is spoken by Mr. Vernon at the start of the film, when he is assigning an essay to the group. Mr. Vernon pointedly looks at John when he says this, making the viewer assume that John has in fact done this in the past.
I tried writing the same word 1000 times for an essay in high school after seeing this film. It didn't turn out very well, seeing as I was home schooled and, not only did I have to re-do the assignment, but I also ended up grounded for being a brat.
Interesting fact, the woman who played Brian's mom in the film was actually actor Anthony Michael Hall's (Brian) real mother.

Answer: Allison

Allison tells the group that she is a nymphomaniac, who had an affair with her shrink, in order to get Claire to admit to being a virgin. After Claire admits that she is, this is what Allison says.
Actress Molly Ringwald originally wanted to play Allison but the role was already promised to Ally Sheedy. Ringwald instead took the role of Claire.

Answer: John

John sings this line while the group is running from Mr. Vernon. After taking Andrew's advice on the route to take, they come to a locked gate. Brian responds to the situation by saying, "We're dead". John responds, "No, just me." and takes off running down the hallway singing at the top of his lungs and banging on lockers.

He does this so the others have time to get back to the library and won't get caught. It's the first nice thing John does in the film, showing that he does indeed have a heart.
