Answer: A baby

Jenna says "We have something to tell you", to which her mother, Anna, knowingly says "You're getting", expecting Jenna to complete her sentence with the word "married". However instead Jenna says "a baby"! Clearly Jenna's parents were expecting them to do the more "traditional" thing of getting married first, however they celebrate the news with some champagne (water for Jenna!) anyway.

Answer: Mark

We only see the characters of Eva and Mark during the scene featuring their lavish outdoor wedding. However this scene is pivotal, as it is during the wedding that Michael first meets Kim. During the wedding, we also see how Izzy is still cut up over his break-up with Arianna, the strained relationship between Chris and Lisa, and Kenny meeting Danielle.

Answer: A treehouse

Having already bumped into Kim at the outdoor bar, we subsequently see Michael taking a break from the wedding proceedings to have a wander on his own (whilst Jenna is helping Lisa with her baby in the main house), when he spots a treehouse. Whilst Michael is sitting in the treehouse, seemingly deep in thought, Kim climbs up and, slightly timidly, asks the blunt question "So do you have a girlfriend?". Michael pauses, then replies "Yeah", the pause causing Kim to declare "A little hesitation there. Having a crisis, are we?", leading into their discussion about mid-life crises and crises in general.

Answer: Michael and Chris

We find out that Michael is an architect during his chat with Kim in the treehouse during the wedding. A little later in the movie we see Michael presenting his ideas for a building redesign to his boss and a few colleagues, including a clearly wearied Chris.

The boss expresses concerns about the cost of Michael's ideas, and asks Chris what he thinks, to which Chris, clearly distracted by personal issues, replies "I think I'm going to leave my wife".

Answer: Izzy's

We see Izzy's father in bed hooked up to an oxygen machine a little earlier in the movie, so it is clear that he is not a well man. When Kenny and Izzy are looking at an RV for their forthcoming trip to South America, Izzy gets a call advising him that his father isn't breathing, and he rushes off. We find out that he has unfortunately died when Jenna calls Chris, and leaves a voicemail saying "Chris, it's Jenna. Michael and you both have your cell phones off. Listen, Izzy's dad just died. We're all gonna head over there, so I guess I'll see you guys there". Michael's cell phone is off because he is at a party with Kim.

Answer: A tree

Jenna has been unable to get through to Michael all evening, as he has had his cell phone switched off whilst he was at the party with Kim. Having dropped Kim off after the party, Michael turns his cell phone back on, and pretty much immediately receives a call from a frantic Jenna who demands to know where he is. Distracted, Michael strays into the path of an oncoming taxi, swerves, and drives into a tree. Luckily it's a very small tree, and Michael wasn't driving very fast, so the car is hardly damaged, and he is able to complete his drive home safely.

Answer: A knife

In a very powerful and emotive scene, Jenna is clearly hysterical that Michael has been seeing another woman whilst she is three months pregnant. She questions how she can ever trust anything Michael ever says again, and tells him it's over, demanding that he gets out of the house. Michael tries to remonstrate with her, but this just makes Jenna more and more angry, and in her rage, she picks up a carving knife and waves it in Michael's direction.

He suggests that Jenna is out of her mind, and walks out the front door.

Answer: His keys

Following his argument with Jenna, Michael goes to Kim's dorm room, where they spend the night together. When he wakes up in the morning, Kim is still asleep, so Michael sneaks out without waking her. As he gets outside, he realises he doesn't have his keys, so sheepishly goes back to Kim's dorm room, where Kim questions what she has done wrong that makes Michael want to rush back to Jenna.

Answer: Chris

We see the RV pull over to the side of the road, the door opens, and Chris steps out. He has decided that running away from his problems is not the answer, and that he needs to see Lisa and make the best of a bad situation. A little later in the movie, we see Chris knock on Lisa's door and say "I'm not coming back. I'm sorry.

But I'm moving into Kenny's. I'm still gonna be his [their son, Matthew's] dad". Clearly exhausted, Lisa says that Chris can start now, and gives a bag that has "everything you need" to Chris, advising that he should call if he needs anything else, otherwise she'll see him on Monday.

Answer: On their front porch

Following Jenna's father's advice that he should do "whatever it takes" to get Jenna back, Michael says that he is not going to leave the porch until Jenna talks to him. The following montage suggests that Michael follows through with his promise, and doesn't move from the porch, despite discomfort, cold and rain, for a good few days and nights until Jenna finally talks to him through the closed door, before opening it up so that a drenched and clearly exhausted Michael can go inside and try to get their shattered lives back on track.
