The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride Quiz

The first creature that mentions Kiara's names is Rafiki, a crazy baboon and long-time friend of Simba's family. He is shown painting a cub on the bark of a tree, next to the picture he drew of Simba in the first movie. He laughs and says: "Aah, Kiara."

A gust of wind blows signifying the assumed presence of Simba's deceased father, Mufasa. Rafiki starts talking about Kiara and how a new circle of life has been completed.

As Nala and Simba watch Kiara run off to play, Nala asks Simba who Kiara reminds him of. Simba is clueless and asks who? Nala tells Simba that she is reminded of him when he was little. Simba responds by saying he is even more worried, because he remembers all the trouble they got themselves in. Nala jokingly pounces on him and says: "You mean the dangers YOU put us in."

They laugh and nuzzle but after Nala leaves, Simba sends Timon and Pumbaa to watch on Kiara.

Answer: She jumps from side to side.

Kiara runs into Timon and Pumbaa following her. Eventually they start arguing about what type of bug is the best to eat and Kiara slips away. It's then that she runs into Kovu. Kovu growls and asks who she is, but as he moves, Kiara jumps back and forth to stay in front of him, like her father has told her. Kovu stops growling, wondering what in the world she is doing.

The two fight for a few minutes, but after they escape a river of crocodiles, Kiara and Kovu start talking like friends. All of a sudden Simba and Zira (Kovu's mother) appear and separate them.

Answer: Neither wants to be royalty.

Neither wants to fulfill their destiny. Kiara might have been born into the lineage but ruling over the Pridelands is last on her list.

Right before the song 'We Are One' starts, she says that she does not want to be Queen because it wouldn't be any fun. Simba retorts by saying that's like saying that she isn't a lion. During 'We Are One' she sings:

"If there's so much I must be,
Can I still just be me
The way I am?

Can I trust in my own heart?
Or am I just one part
Of some big plan?"

The deceased Scar from the first movie was Kovu's stepfather. Zira believes that because of this, it should be Kovu who rules as King. Nuka (Kovu's brother) wants to be King instead but this idea is never accepted by Zira. In 'My Lullaby', Zira sings that Kovu will be their ticket to regaining all of their previous power. Kovu states that he doesn't want to, but Zira cuts him off before he can even finish his sentence.

When it is time for Kiara's first hunt, she makes her father promise to let her go on her own. Reluctantly he agrees. After Kiara runs off, he whispers to Timon and Pumbaa to follow her, quickly breaking his promise. While stalking antelope, Kiara accidentally makes some noise and they run off in Timon and Pumbaa's direction. Kiara follows and finds the two of them. Furious that her father has broken their promise, she runs out of the safety of the Pridelands to hunt.

The whole fire is a scheme planned by the Outsiders. Nuka and Vitani (Kovu's sister) start the fire, ultimately trapping Kiara. Kovu jumps in and saves her. Meanwhile Simba spots the fire and gathers the lionesses to come with him. In this time Kiara has woken up and she realizes that her savior is her friend she made years ago. When Simba reaches them, he treats Kovu the same way he did when he was little. Rafiki who has been watching comes down the hill shouting: "Hey! You! How dare you save the King's daughter?"

Simba becomes confused and asks why he saved Kiara. Kovu then says he is a rogue from the Outsiders and asks if he can join the Pridelanders. Simba quickly refuses, but after some retorts from his wife and Zazu he lets him in.

Answer: Zira

As Kovu continues to fall in love with Kiara, he abandons his plan to kill Simba. The Outsiders figure this out and become furious. Simba finally accepts Kovu and takes him to the site where the fire was. While talking to him, the Outsiders attack Simba, who now thinks it was Kovu's idea.

The battle ends up with Nuka's death and Simba barely escaping back to Pride Rock. Zira, upset over her son's death, slashes out at Kovu and gives him a scar identical to his stepfather's.

As the battle between the Pridelanders and Outsiders hits a peak, it soon becomes a showdown between Simba and Zira. Before the two can fight, Kovu and Kiara, who have both run away for a night, return and jump in way of their parents. Both try to reason with them. Simba becomes convinced that the fighting is wrong but Kovu is unable to convince his mother.

While Kiara and Simba nuzzle, Zira orders Vitani to attack. Vitani quickly refuses and joins the Pridelander side. She says that she has had enough.

Answer: In a flood.

After she watches her entire pride desert her, she tries to attack Simba once again. Kiara jumps on her and they start to fight instead. They roll down an embankment right to the edge of a canyon. Kiara has stopped safely on the ledge but Zira is clinging for her life on a couple of rocks. Kiara tells Zira to take her paw so she can save her, but Zira refuses.

Meanwhile the dam nearby breaks and flooding starts to fill the canyon. The rushing water continues to rise and the situation becomes more dangerous. Eventually Zira willingly lets go of the rocks, falling into the water and dying.

Answer: Mufasa

With 'We Are One' playing in the background Simba, Nala, Kiara, Kovu, and all the other lions walk back to Pride Rock. When they reach the tip of the rock Simba roars with Kovu, then Nala and Kiara join in, and finally the rest of the pride answers. The clouds part and Mufasa's spirit circles around Simba. He says: "Well done, my son. We are one."
