Answer: Harry Luck
Harry Luck was played by Brad Dexter (1917-2002) who was an American actor and producer. In the movie Brad played the role of an old friend of Chris's who was convinced there was a greater reward than the $20 on offer. He appeared in numerous movies and TV series and was briefly married to Peggy Lee.
He befriended Frank Sinatra when he saved Frank from drowning during the production of "None but the Brave" (1965) in Hawaii.
2. The young hothead

Chico was played by the German actor Horst Buchholz (1933-2003). In the movie Chico was an aspiring young gunslinger who admired Chris Adams and was desperate to join the group going to save the Mexican village from bandits. He appeared in many German movies and eventually went to Hollywood in 1959. Due to scheduling he turned down offers in "West Side Story" (1961), "Lawrence of Arabia" (1962) and "A Fistful of Dollars" (1964).
In the film industry many referred to him as "the German James Dean".
He appeared in a number of movies during the 1960s and 1970s.
3. Peasant farmer

Hilario was one of the peasant farmers who first saw and hired Chris Adams in a small village across the border in USA. The character was played by Jorge Martinez de Hoyos (1920-1997). He was a Mexican actor who appeared in small roles in movies such as "The Professionals" (1966), "Guns for San Sebastian"(1968), "The Adventures" (1970) and the TV mini-series of 1989 "Lonesome Dove".

Robert Vaughn (1932-2016) played the role of the dapper but traumatised veteran gunman, Lee, in the movie. Robert Vaughn is best remembered as Napoleon Solo In the 1960s TV series "The Man form U.N.C.L.E." Charles Bronson (1921-2003) plays the role of the Irish-Mexican gunman, Bernardo O'Reilly, who has fallen on hard times and needs a job. In the movie O'Reilly is "adopted" by three of the village children who promise to put flowers on his grave when he dies. Bronson was the 11th of 15 children in his family. During WWII he joined the Unites States Army Air Force and was a aerial gunner in the Pacific campaign.

Steve McQueen (1930-1980) was the drifter (Vin Tanner) who had lost his money gambling and had been offered a job as a store clerk. During the 1960s Steve McQueen became a Hollywood superstar with starring roles in "The Thomas Crown Affair", "Bullitt", "The Great Escape", "The Cincinnati Kid", "Nevada Smith" to name just a few.
He received an Academy Award nomination for his role in "The Sand Pebbles" (1966).
7. The Cajun gunslinger

Yul Brynner (1920-1985) played the role of the Cajun gunslinger, Chris Larabee Adams, the leader of the seven. The Cajuns are an ethnic group from Louisiana, USA. Chris is one of the surviving three of the original seven in the movie. Yul Brynner was born in Vladivostok, Russia and arrived in the USA in 1940.
He starred in many movies but is best remembered for his Academy Award winning performance in "The King and I".
8. The knife thrower

James Coburn (1928-2002) played the role of the knife thrower, Britt, who simply joined the seven for the challenge. James Coburn had an acting career spanning 45 years from 1957-2002. He appeared in over 70 movies and made numerous TV appearances. He won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in the 1997 American drama "Affliction".
9. Mexican bandit

Eli Wallach (1915-2014) played the role of Calvera, the leader of the Mexican bandits that terrorised the farming village. His acting career spanned 65 years from 1945-2014. He was married to the American actress of stage, screen and television, Anne Jackson for 66 years until his death in 2014. One of his most memorable roles was that of Tuco (the ugly) in the western "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (1966).
10. The undertaker

The undertaker, Chamlee, was played by Whit Bissell (1909-1996). His character appeared in the first few scenes of the movie when there was nobody to drive the hearse to Boot Hill. That is when Chris and Vin took on the challenge. Whit Bissell was an actor of stage, television and screen between 1940-1984.
His main characters in films and television were mainly silver-haired figures of authority, either military and police officials.
