"Gamera: Guardian of the Universe" was the first kaiju, monster, movie he has worked on. Since then he has directed and worked on the two sequels, "Gamera 2: Attack of Legion", and "Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris". In 2001, he also directed the Godzilla film "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah Giant Monsters All Out Attack!"

The Gyaos were created by the ancient Atlantis civilization. Unfortunately the Gyaos grew out of control and began eating humans and animals. The Gyaos wiped out all the people in the city. With no food left, the Gyaos laid their eggs and waited for the right environment for them to hatch. By 1995, rising levels of carbon dioxide and nitric acid compounds caused global warming, which made just the right environment for the Gyaos eggs to hatch and return.

One perfect pair chromosomes allows them to evolve themselves. This allows them to adapt to the environment. It also allows them to grow bigger to fight off enemies.

The ancient civilization of Atlantis created Gamera to fight against the Gyaos. Too little too late - Atlantis was destroyed by the Gyaos. Afterwards the Gyaos went into hibernation and so did Gamera. 10,000 years later, the Gyaos awakened in 1995, and so did Gamera. He woke to try to do what he couldn't the first time - kill the Gyaos for good.

In the movie "Gamera: Guardian of the Universe" Asagi is given a stone that is found on a floating atoll in the middle of the sea where her father is working. It is later found out that the stone is mentally connected to Gamera. With it, she can sense what Gamera is thinking and feeling.

When Gamera is wounded, she receives the same wounds, which means they are physically connected as well. In "Gamera 2" Gamera mentally breaks the stone, severing his connection to her. He does this so he won't worry about her getting hurt anymore, and will be able to fight better without the worry.

They are an alien race of insect-like creatures that were brought to Japan by a meteor shower.

In the original series, the blood was blue so the movie wouldn't look so violent. Now it looks natural for Gamera to have different colored blood.

The legion are grown in the Legion Flower, which is what it sounds like, a giant flower. The flower explodes, releasing its legion seeds across the universe; unfortunately, the explosion destroys anything within 5 miles of it.

Gamera draws all of Earth's energy, also called mana, into him and then releases it out of his stomach as a powerful beam of light that destroys everything it touches. It is used against the Legion mother, and she is destroyed along with everything else in the path of the beam.

Ayana is played by Ai Maeda. Ai's sister, Aki, plays the younger Ayana in a flashback.

Ayana's dad brought her back from the hospital after having her appendix removed. Her dad went back into the house to get Ayana's mom because Gamera was coming. Ayana watched in horror as Gamera crashed into her house, while her parents and cat were inside.

Her parents died. Later she finds out that Gamera did not crash into the house on purpose, but was pushed into the house by the Gyaos while they were fighting each other.

Iris is a monster that has been asleep for centuries but is awakened when Ayana removes the stone that was on top of it. Ayana raises Iris so that one day she can use it to get revenge on Gamera for killing her parents. Iris is named after Ayana's pet cat that died when Gamera destroyed her house.

Ayana is in the train station in Kyoto, and Iris is coming to merge with her. Gamera is right behind Iris. When they both land, one of the most amazing fights in kaiju movie history begins.

At the end of the movie, Gamera is walking through a Kyoto lit with fire after his battle with Iris. Gamera's arm was blasted off, and he also received a hole in his chest, from where he was stabbed by Iris. As he is walking away, hundreds of Gyaos flew his way.

He must fight them, but does he win? It's not known since the movie ends with the Gyaos flying to Japan. But if we know Gamera, we know that Gamera always wins. I hope you liked this quiz about this amazing turtle.
