If someone disobeyed, he was taken to the House of Pain, where Dr.

Most of the movie involved Dr. Ludwig Frankenstein (Cedric Hardwicke) planning on experimenting with the monster (Lon Chaney Jr) which his father Dr. Henry Frankenstein (Colin Clive) had put together. In flashback clips from previous movies, Colin Clive was shown as Dr.

Henry Frankenstein. However, there was a scene in which Dr. Ludwig was supposedly talking to Dr. Henry's ghost, but it was Cedric Hardwicke playing as the ghost.

When Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr) again became a wolf man, his father happened to be holding the cane with the silver wolf's head on it, which he used to hit the wolf man on the head. When the wolf man died, he turned into Larry Talbot, and his father was surprised to see his dead son lying there.

Answer: Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman

A lot of the Frankenstein movies ended with a big explosion. This time the barkeep complained that he didn't like the experiments being performed on the wolf man and Frankenstein's monster, so he blew up the dam which flooded Frankenstein's old lab. It was implied in this movie that the wolf man and Frankenstein's monster had drowned, but we didn't see evidence of this until "House of Frankenstein" when they were shown frozen underground.

Answer: The devil bat

Bela Lugosi, as Dr. Carruthers, used a large bat to attack his enemies when they wore perfume which attracted the "devil bat". When a reporter found out about it, he forced Dr. Carruthers (Bela) at gunpoint to wear the deadly perfume, which made the bat attack and kill Dr. Carruthers.

Answer: Weird Woman

In the movie "Weird Woman" (1944), an Inner Sanctum movie, Prof. Reed (Lon Chaney Jr.) married Paula (Anne Gwynne) while in the south seas. When he returned to his home town, Ilona Carr (Evelyn Ankers) was jealous, and mysterious accidents began happening to people who were friends of Prof. Reed.

He was popular with his female students, and it's hard to know which woman was the "weird woman" of the title, because they all acted suspiciously.

Answer: Pillow of Death

In the movie "Pillow of Death" (1945), an Inner Sanctum movie, Lon Chaney Jr. played a lawyer accused of suffocating his wife with a pillow. The odd thing about this movie is that a psychic medium claimed he could contact the spirit of his dead wife and ask who killed her.

Answer: The gypsy girl shot him with a silver bullet.

With all the numerous movies about werewolves getting shot with silver bullets, this is the only Lon Chaney Jr movie in which his wolf man character got shot with a silver bullet by the gypsy girl who loved him. Meanwhile, a bunch of other stuff was happening to the hunchback (J. Carrol Naish), Dr. Niemann (Boris Karloff), and Frankenstein's monster (Glenn Strange).

Answer: He was cured.

Dr. Edelmann (Onslow Stevens) used plant mold to cure Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr) of turning into the wolf man. This was after he was supposedly shot to death with a silver bullet in the previous movie. However, this did not prevent him from turning into a wolf man again in the next movie. (Even though the movie is called "House of Dracula" it is part of the continuing story of Frankenstein's monster, between "House of Frankenstein" and "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein".)

Answer: He turned into a bat.

The wolf man (Lon) was fighting Dracula (Bela) on the balcony when Dracula turned into a bat. The wolf man jumped off the balcony, grabbing the bat in midair, and they both fell into the ocean. This was the last of the classic monster movies with Bela as Dracula and Lon as the wolf man.
