Answer: Gave the Soc actors fancy copies of the script and nice hotel rooms, ect. while he gave the Greaser actors lousy copies of the script and poor hotel rooms

Coppola gave the actors who played Greasers crappy, bad copies of the script and poor dressing rooms, hotel rooms, etc. and he gave the Soc actors nice copies of the script, as well as nice rooms and such to create real tension between them.

Answer: Michael

Michael. Ponyboy Michael Curtis. At least he had a normal middle name!

Answer: Matt Dillon and Emilio Estevez

Matt Dillon not only starred in 'The Outsiders', he had also starred in the adaptation of S.E. Hinton's 'Tex' and went on to star in the adaptation of 'Rumble Fish'. So he starred in all three of them. Emilio Estevez did also appear in 'Tex' and 'That was Then, This is Now'. Diane Lane starred alongside Matt Dillon in 'Rumble Fish'.
4. When was one of the few times anyone ever saw Johnny cry?

Answer: When he got beaten up by the Socs

According to the book, Johnny had 'bawled like a baby' the day they all found him in the lot beaten to a bloody pulp after the Socs got a hold of him. Ponyboy reflects that 'they'd seen him take a beatin' with a 2 x 4 from his old man and never let out a wimper'.

The only other time a reference is made to Johnny crying was when they were in the church and were discussing having killed Bob, the Soc.
