In the remake of "The Philadelphia Story", "High Society", Dexter calls Tracy "Sam" because of her middle name.

As she says, "I knew a plain Joe Smith once. He was only a clerk in a hardware store, but he was an absolute rat."

Although the name of the magazine was "Destiny" in the original play, it was changed to "Spy" for the movie.
