The Man is actually an alright guy. Chasing, taming and eventually riding Thowra becomes an obsession for him. The narrator said, "Bel Bel knew her son would be hunted, for his silvery mane and tail, and for his striking cream coat."

After failing to outrun them, Thowra nears the cliff and jumps to escape them. Later when talking about this, Darcy says, "It was amazing, the horse would rather be dead than captured. Ran to the edge and took off into space."

You see the horse a few times when Indi is riding it, especially when she is riding back from the horse taming. We don't find out his name. Caroline Goodall plays Elyne Mitchell in the movie, and Ami Deamion plays her daughter, Indi Mitchell. The book had neither character.

Yarraman was once King Of The Cascade Brumbies. He was a handsome chestnut stallion and Bel Bel was his favourite mare. Sometimes he had to come down and protect his handsome son and his favourite mare from The Brolga.

Answer: The storm in which he was born

At the start of the movie, Elyne Mitchell is telling her daughter about the wild mountain brumby who was born into a wild chaotic storm. Bel Bel, his mother, named him Thowra because in Aboriginal it means wind. It was very windy that night.

Answer: Yarraman

Regretfully, the Brolga kills Yarraman in the fight to be king. After defeating him, The Brolga inherits everything that was Yarraman's, including Bel Bel.

Answer: Echo

When The Man is saddling up the horse, he hears Thowra. He says, "Echo, seems we have a visitor". He then mounts, and heads off in search of Thowra.

Answer: A storm

The narrator says, "It was as if Thowra had summoned the storm to lose The Man. The Man was almost lost himself, then he remembered Golden". He comes back and finds his mare and foal gone. We then get to the best part of the movie, seeing Russell Crowe, as The Man, slopping around in the mud, kicking over fences. Very funny.

Answer: The Brolga

Thowra, Bel Bel, Golden and Golden's daughter are all palomino. The Brolga is dapple gray and has gray rings on his coat.

Answer: Melbourne

She comes down to be with her mum. Her dad stays back in Melbourne, but comes to see them in a few weeks. He is there are the end of the movie with Darcy, being told the fate of Thowra. Melbourne is also where I come from.
