In a later scene, the Captain announces that the last boilers have been lit. However, little does he know that his decision has now sealed Titanic's fate as the ship will not be able to turn fast enough to avoid the iceberg.

In this scene, the band finish playing a song and bid each other farewell. However, instead of leaving, the bandleader, Wallace Hartley, continues playing his violin. The other musicians then return and start playing alongside him.

As a lifeboat approaches, viewers see the name 'Carpathia' on the side of the ship. We even see some of Carpathia's passengers standing at the railing, watching as the lifeboat is retrieved.

Mr. Guggenheim and his valet are descending the Grand Staircase when they are offered lifebelts by one of the crew. They refuse and walk on, asking for nothing more than a brandy.
