Kate Beckinsale's character is Selene. Known as a Death Dealer, she hunts down Lycans not only to follow orders, but to avenge the death of her family. Selene doesn't really do anything for fun except use her dual guns for target practice. She's a real killer!

2. Who killed Selene's family?

Answer: Viktor

Selene was told by Viktor that the Lycan clan had killed her family. She then found out that Viktor himself had killed them and kept her alive because he reminded her of his daughter. Viktor is an elder and the oldest and strongest of vampires.

3. Who was left in charge while Viktor was sleeping in his tomb?

Answer: Kraven

Viktor chose Kraven to be in charge because he had the right sense of responsibility. Not much is told about Kraven, though he and Selene have their share of fights.

Answer: True

Yes, Michael is a medical student. One of his fellow students tells Michael that he did a good job with a surgery. Michael lives by himself in an apartment and leads a pretty normal life. Pictures in the movie indicate that he had a family and probably even a girlfriend.

Selene killed a Lycan and grabbed the bullets for a fellow vampire to study. The vampires then later copied the daylight bullets and turned them into silver nitrate bullets.

Viktor's daughter was named Sonya. Lucian, the Lycan leader, was in love with Sonya, but since they were both different races, Viktor didn't want a child to possess both Lycan and vampire blood. He burned his daughter alive with sunlight and Lucian was forced to watch as he was tortured. This is what started the war.

If you notice carefully, Kraven escaped and was never seen again in the movie. This and the awakening of Marcus will probably trigger a sequel.
