Answer: Selene

Selene was once a human, but her family was killed and she was turned into a vampire by Viktor. Selene was played by Kate Beckinsale. In the third movie, "Rise of the Lycans", the main character was Sonja, played by Rhona Mitra.

Answer: William

William and Markus were the immortal sons of Alexander Corvinus. William was bitten by a wolf, and became the first werewolf, or Lycan. Markus was bitten by a bat, becoming the first vampire. William led a clan of infectious and uncontrollable Lycans at the start of his time. This was found out in "Underworld: Evolution".

Answer: Viktor

For many centuries, Selene was led to believe that a wild clan of Lycans were the murderers of her human family. But in "Underworld", she discovered that it was Viktor who had actually killed them. However, he couldn't bring himself to kill her, and instead turned her into a vampire.

Answer: She was pregnant with Lucian's baby.

Sonja fell in love with Lucian, who was being kept as a slave in the coven. She slept with him, and later revealed to her father that she was pregnant with his baby. She was a vampire, and he was a Lycan - for this, she was sentenced to death.

Answer: Michael Corvin

Michael Corvin was studying in a university hospital at the time when Lucian was searching for him. Lucian wanted to turn him into a Lycan before the vampires got to him. This was found out in "Underworld", and Michael was one of the main characters in "Underworld: Evolution" as well.

Answer: Selene

Selene felt that it was necessary for Viktor to be brought out of hibernation a whole century before it was scheduled, because she thought he was the only vampire who could defeat the Lycans. Because Viktor had placed Kraven as the leader of the coven before he went into hibernation, Kraven didn't want him to be brought back out.

However, Selene went against his wishes as she felt it was for the well-being of the clan.

Answer: Silver Nitrate bullets

Kahn created Silver Nitrate bullets to kill the Lycans. This was in response to the Lycan's creation of UV bullets which directly killed vampires. Selene first tested them out on statues in the vampire's mansion.

Answer: His scrolls

When Lucian escaped from the chamber after the execution of Sonja, he ordered the Lycans to attack the coven. Whilst Viktor and his men were about to fight, Tannis attempted to save his scrolls and run away. He was the one who had let Lucian out of the prison in the coven, after being asked to do so by Sonja.

Answer: half vampire/half Lycan

Michael had already been bitten by Lucian nearer the beginning of the film. However, when he was about to die (at the hands of Kraven), Selene, after being prompted by Lucian, bit him. As a result, Michael became half vampire/half Lycan, and survived.

Answer: Marcus

Markus found his father, Alexander Corvinus, aboard his ship. He was looking for the two keys to unlock his brother William's prison. He found both of them here (one in the hands of his father, and the other around the neck of Selene). Before he left, he stabbed Alexander, saying that "And a true God has no father".
