Answer: Harry Sinclair

Sinclair, born in 1959 in Auckland, New Zealand was cast in the short term role of Isildur. Isildur was only seen at the beginning of the film during one of the first battles that took place in Middle Earth. Isildur was referred to as "the last king of Gondor".

When Sauron fell, Isildur stayed in Gondor for a year to restore order. Elrond was seen about midway through the movie in a flashback when he told Isildur to throw the ring into the fires of Mount Doom. Isildur said no and he continued to possess the ring until it betrayed him to his death, according to Galadriel in the opening prologue. Sinclair starred in the films, "Walkshort", "Linda's Body" and "The Bar".

Blanchett, a native of Melbourne, Australia, had the role of Galadriel. Galadriel was an Elf and the granddaughter of King Finwe and King Olwe. She was first seen in the opening prologue, while she told the story about the one ring. She was next seen near the end of this movie when the Fellowship got to Lothlorien. Celeborn, Galadriel's husband, noted that nine were in the Fellowship when they set off from Rivendell and saw there were only eight, since Gandalf was not there.

He asked where he was and Galadriel stated that she saw that Gandalf had fallen. Galadriel came to Frodo at one point, while he was alone and poured water into a fountain-like object and told Frodo to look into it. Frodo did and saw that the Fellowship was about to separate and break apart. Galadriel told him that the Fellowship completely breaking up would happen in the near future, since it had already begun.

She told Frodo that the task of casting the ring into the fires of Mount Doom was appointed to him and, if he could not find a way, nobody would.

When Frodo and his companions set off from Lothlorien, Galadriel gave Frodo a light to help him in places that were dark. Blanchett was seen in the movies, "Babel", "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" and "The Talented Mr. Ripley". She won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2005 for the Martin Scorsese film, "The Aviator".

Wood took on the role of Frodo Baggins for the entire "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Frodo was first seen reading a book in his home of The Shire, when he saw Gandalf arrive. Frodo's uncle, Bilbo Baggins, left the ring at his home in The Shrie when he went to live in the house of Elrond. Gandalf told Frodo about the ring and ordered him to set off for The Inn at the Prancing Pony, to keep it safe.

Another hobbit, named Sam, accompanied Frodo to this destination and it was on their way they bumped into two other hobbits, Merry and Pippin. Frodo planned to meet Gandalf at The Inn but he never showed.

The hobbits ran into Aragorn there and he helped them on their journey. At one point, Frodo was stabbed by a Morgul blade and needed elvish medicine to heal. Frodo made it to Rivendell and was saved.

When he and several others argued over who should take the Ring to Mordor to destroy it at Mount Doom, Frodo volunteered for the task. At the end of the film, Frodo was by himself and about to paddle his way across a river when Sam came along and said that he would go to Mordor with him. Sam almost drowned in the river but Frodo saved him.

The film closed when Sam and Frodo made their way into Mordor. Wood had roles in the movies, "The Faculty", "The Good Son" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind".

Astin, born on February 25th, 1971 in Santa Monica, California was cast as Samwise Gamgee. Sam was first seen when Gandalf heard him outside Bilbo's home and he accused Sam of eavesdropping. Sam pleaded with Gandalf to not hurt him but Gandalf found a better use for him, as Frodo's protector. Sam and Frodo set off for The Inn of the Prancing Pony and had a plan to meet Gandalf there.

At the very end of the movie, Sam noticed Frodo in a boat heading for Mordor and he went into the water to go to Frodo.

However, Sam started to drown so Frodo sailed back and rescued him. When Frodo pulled him into the boat, Sam mentioned that he promised Gandalf he would protect Frodo and that meant going to Mordor with him. The two hugged as they made their way to Mordor. Astin had guest starring stints on the TV series', "Monk", "24" and "Las Vegas".

Weaving, born in Austin, Nigeria portrayed Elrond. Elrond was first seen midway through the film, when Frodo woke up and found himself in Rivendell. Elrond organized a council at Rivendell to figure out what should be done about the ring which Frodo had.

When Frodo agreed to take the ring to Mordor and destroy it, he was accompanied by Gandalf, Merry, Pippin, Sam, Boromir, Gimli, Legolas and Aragorn. Elrond called them The Fellowship of the Ring. Weaving had parts in the films, "V for Vendetta", "Bedrooms and Hallways" and "For Love Alone".

Bean, born on April 17th, 1959 in South Yorkshire, England had the role of Boromir in this installment of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Boromir was first seen when he came to Rivendell and agreed to be a part of the Fellowship of the Ring. Frodo realized, while in Lothlorien, that Boromir would attempt to take the ring from him. Boromir attempted to steal it right before the film's final battle but was unsuccessful.

In Boromir's final scene in the film, he told Aragorn that Merry and Pippin were kidnapped and that he tried to take the ring from Frodo. Boromir then died, due to injuries he sustained in the film's final battle, and was last seen in a boat, which went over a waterfall. Bean was seen in the films, "Goldeneye", "Flightplan" and "North Country".

Rhys Davies, a native of Wiltshire, England was cast as Gimli. Gimli was a dwarf and it was noted that dwarves and elves did not get along. However, Gimli befriended Legolas, an elf who was a part of the Fellowship. When Frodo suggested that the Fellowship go through the Mines of Moria, Gimli was pleased, since he could see his cousin, Balin, who was there.

However, Balin had died, and Gimli saw his tomb in the mines. Gimli proved to be an asset to the Fellowship since he killed many of the bad guys in various battles.

At the end of the film, Aragorn told Legolas and Gimli that Merry and Pippin had been taken so they all agreed to go rescue them. Rhys-Davies had roles in the movies, "Raiders of the Lost Ark", "Firewalker" and "South Beach".

In 1982, he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for the film, "Chariots of Fire", but he lost to John Gielgud of "Arthur". Other Oscar nominees for Best Supporting Actor that year were James Coco for "Only When I Laugh", Howard E. Rollins, Jr. for "Ragtime" and Jack Nicholson for "Reds".

McLeod, born on July 18th, 1971 in Putarur, New Zealand was cast in the short term role of Rosie Cotton. Rosie was only seen at Bilbo's birthday party, when Frodo and Sam spoke for a couple of minutes. Sam told Frodo that he was interested in Rosie so Frodo encouraged him to go dance with her. Sam refused so Frodo pushed him towards Rosie and they started to dance. McLeod starred in the movies, "The Last Tattoo", "The Conversation" and "Skin & Bone".

He tried to get Gandalf to accept Sauron's power and join him with Sauron but Gandalf refused. Saruman and Gandalf fought but Saruman got the upper hand and held Gandalf captive on a tower high above the sky. Gandalf escaped from Saruman and made it to Rivendell. Throughout the movie, Saruman was seen organizing an army full of orcs and other nasty creatures. Lee had roles in the films, "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones", "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Sleepy Hollow".
