Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. As a journalist, I was interested in investigating Natalie's past. Who played me?

Answer: Jared Leto

Leto, born on December 26th, 1971 in Bossier City, Louisiana, was cast as Paul Gardner. Paul worked for the college newspaper and wrote a story about the deaths of one of the students, Michelle Mancini. As the movie progressed, Paul noticed that Natalie was behaving weirdly so he asked her if Michelle's death startled her but Natalie refused to tell him about her friendship with Michelle.

At the end of the movie, Paul picked up Brenda and Natalie in his car and told them he would drive them out of town.

When they stopped at a convenience store, they saw Professor Wexler's dead body in the trunk of Paul's car. They assumed Paul was the killer but Paul turned out not to be the killer. Leto starred in the movies "Requiem for a Dream", "Sunset Strip" and "Lord of War".
2. I almost had my kidney stolen from me! Who played me?

Answer: Alicia Witt

Witt, a native of Worcester, Massachusetts, portrayed Natalie Simon in this movie. Natalie was a college student and she mentioned one night to her friend, Damon, that she knew Michelle Mancini, a girl who had just been killed. At this moment, Damon and Natalie were in a car and Damon stepped outside to go to the bathroom.

As he urinated, the killer killed him and Natalie reported this to a campus police officer. When the police officer went to the location, Damon's body was not there. Natalie started to believe that, due to the way Michelle and Damon died, perhaps someone was killing people based on urban legends.

At the end of the movie, Natalie heard her friend, Brenda, screaming and she went to see her. She found Brenda lying on a bed and it appeared as if Brenda had been killed. Brenda woke up and knocked Natalie out. Brenda revealed she was the killer and she wanted revenge on Natalie since Natalie and Michelle caused her fiancé, David Evans, to die one night. Natalie got a hold of Brenda's gun and used it to shoot Brenda and Brenda then fell out of a window. Natalie and Paul started to drive away but Brenda was in the back of their car. Natalie and Brenda fought and Paul slammed on the brake, which caused Brenda to fly through the front windshield. Witt guest starred on the TV series "Law and Order: Criminal Intent", "The Mentalist" and "Two and a Half Men".
3. I taught literature at the college where Natalie attended. Who played me?

Answer: Robert Englund

Englund, born in 1947 in Glendale, California, landed the small role of Professor William Wexler. Professor Wexler taught literature and gave a lecture about urban legends. As people started to be murdered based on urban legends, Natalie and Paul decided to investigate them.

They spoke to a janitor and asked them to help them out. The janitor told them to talk to Professor Wexler to get assistance on solving the murders. Natalie and Paul went to Professor Wexler's office one day and they could not find him. Paul broke into the office and he and Natalie snooped through his office.

They found an ax (the killer used an ax to murder the victims) and assumed Professor Wexler was the killer. Professor Wexler discovered them and reported them to the dean. Later on in the film, Wexler was revealed to have been murdered. Englund also had roles in the films "Night of the Sinner", "2001 Maniacs" and "Wishmaster".

He is best known for portraying Freddy Krueger in the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" movie series.
4. My fiancé died and I wanted to get revenge. I used urban legends to kill people. Who played me?

Answer: Rebecca Gayheart

Gayheart played Brenda Bates in "Urban Legend". Brenda was a student at the college where Natalie attended and did not reveal to anyone that her fiancé had been killed a couple of years ago in a car accident. In one scene, Natalie told Brenda that she knew of Michelle Mancini and how one night with Michelle a couple years back changed her life forever. On that night, Michelle and Natalie were in Natalie's car and Michelle drove. Michelle had her headlights off and was waiting for someone to flash lights at her so she could follow that car and blind the driver by flashing her lights. Brenda's fiancé, David Evans, was driving and he flashed his lights at Michelle.

She made a u turn and followed David, repeatedly turning her headlights on and off to blind him. Michelle and Natalie laughed about it until David crashed his car and died.

When Brenda restrained Natalie to a bed, she brought up the fact that the man Michelle and Natalie killed was her fiancé, David Evans. In the movie's final scene, which took place a year after the murders Brenda committed, a couple of college students spoke about the murders. Brenda was seen, alive and well, and told everyone how the story really went. Gayheart reprised her role of Brenda Bates in the film's sequel, "Urban Legends: Final Cut".

She was also in the films "Bunny Whipped" and "Shadow Hours". From 1992 to 1993, she starred as Hannah Mayberry on the now defunct ABC soap opera "Loving".
5. I got Paul fired from the college newspaper. Who played me?

Answer: John Neville

Neville, born on May 2nd, 1925 in London, England, was cast as Dean Adams. Dean Adams had a reputation of being strict but also fair. When he found out that Paul wrote an article on Michelle Mancini's death, he chided him for writing such inflammatory filth.

He told Paul that he found him crazy and then walked away. In another scene, Dean Adams found out that Natalie and Paul broke into Professor Wexler's office. He revealed that he found out that Natalie had once been on probation for reckless endangerment and he told her she was lucky the college did not find out since they did not accept people with a criminal record.

He informed Paul that he spoke to the editor of the college newspaper about his breaking into Professor Wexler's office and Paul was fired from the college newspaper.

In Dean Adams' final scene, he spoke to a campus police officer, Reese Wilson, about keeping the college safe for the weekend. As he went to his car, the killer slashed his ankles and he fell to the ground.

The killer put a car in drive and the car ran over Dean Adams, killing him. Neville guest starred on the TV shows "The Eleventh Hour", "Queer as Folk" and "The X Files".
6. It was revealed that I had bipolar disorder. Who played me?

Answer: Danielle Harris

Harris, a native of Daytona Beach, Florida, had the small role of Tosh Guaneri. Tosh was Natalie's roommate and she painted half the room black. She tended to dress in gothic clothing and also wore a lot of black lipstick. In one scene, Tosh was on the computer and Natalie needed to use the phone and asked Tosh to sign off since the computer was connected to a phone line. Tosh signed off but also gave Natalie attitude about it.

In one scene, Tosh was having sex with her boyfriend and Natalie walked in and turned on the light. Natalie shut off the light after Tosh yelled at her.

In Tosh's final scene, she was talking to a guy on an instant messaging service and she asked him where he was so she could meet him. She went to the bathroom to put on makeup so she could impress the guy.

When she got back to her computer, she noticed the guy saying he was in her room. Immediately, the killer grabbed Tosh and started strangling her. Natalie was getting to the room and it was just before she entered that the killer shut off the light. Natalie thought Tosh was making love to someone by the way she moaned so she didn't turn on the light.

The next morning, Natalie discovered Tosh's dead body and reported it to Dean Matthews and Reese Wilson. The dean informed Natalie that Tosh had bipolar disorder since she took lithium. Dean Matthews and Reese Wilson ruled that her death was a suicide since there was a note on the wall that read, "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?" Harris had guest starring stints on the TV shows "Cold Case", "The West Wing" and "Charmed".
7. I was devastated when my dog was killed when the killer stuffed him in a microwave and cooked him alive. Who played me?

Paul told Parker that it was a myth but Parker asserted it was a true story. Later on in the movie, Parker threw a party and he asked Paul to announce that there was a killer on campus. Parker embarrassed Paul and Paul just shoved a drink in his face. Parker got a phone call from the killer and the killer told him he dried off Parker's dog in the microwave. Parker went to the microwave and noticed his dog had been cooked alive.

He went to the bathroom and threw up.

The killer followed him there and knocked him out. When Parker woke up, his hands were tied behind the toilet and the killer used toilet cleaner to drown Parker. Rosenbaum guest starred on the TV series "Teen Titans", "Static Shock" and "The Tom Show".
8. I found Sasha's dead body after I heard her screaming on my police radio. Who played me?

Answer: Loretta Devine

Devine had the role of Reese Wilson. Reese was a cop and was employed by the college to be a part of its campus police services. She responded to Natalie's claims that Damon had been killed. Reese went to the scene of the crime and did not see Damon's body and asked Natalie if she had been smoking something. Natalie told her she had not and his body was perhaps stolen. Reese was driving one night and heard Sasha cry for help on the police radio.

She drove back to campus and found Sasha at the radio office but Sasha had already been killed.

She went to where Brenda was holding Natalie captive. Reese found Brenda making an incision into Natalie's abdomen to take out her kidney. Reese told Brenda to drop the weapon and she patted her down. Brenda pulled out a knife and slashed Reese with it and then shot her.

When Brenda contemplated if she should kill Brenda or Paul first, Reese got out her gun and shot Brenda. Natalie shot Brenda out of the window and then rushed to Reese's side to make sure she was okay. Reese survived the ordeal. Devine reprised her role of Reese in "Urban Legends: Final Cut".

She also appeared in the films "I Am Sam" and "Amos and Andrew".
9. Natalie punched me in the face right before I died. Who played me?

The idea was that mixing these two caused someone to explode. Damon initially showed he was fine after mixing the two in his mouth but then he started to gurgle. He fell to the floor but it was revealed that he was playing a prank. Professor Wexler then stated that mixing pop rocks and soda did not cause anyone to explode due to what Damon just experienced.

In Damon's final scene, he and Natalie went to a private place to talk. Damon tried to kiss Natalie but she punched him in the face. He told her he had to go to the bathroom outside and it was while he was outside that the killer swung a noose around him and hung him on a tree branch. Damon died due to strangulation.
