Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I made a wish for the Genie to be set free. Who voiced me?

Answer: Scott Weinger

Weinger, born on October 5th, 1975 in New York City, voiced Aladdin. Aladdin lived in Agrabah and had little money, so he often stole from street vendors. In his first scene, he ran through the streets of Agrabah, since people were chasing him because he stole a loaf of bread. Early in the movie, Aladdin was falsely accused of kidnapping Princess Jasmine and he met someone while imprisoned in the dungeon.

The man, who was actually Jafar in disguise, informed him of the Cave of Wonders, which had treasures beyond Aladdin's wildest dream. Jafar helped bust Aladdin out of the dungeon to go to the cave.

He sent Aladdin into the cave to get the magic lamp. The cave collapsed after Abu touched a ruby and both he and Aladdin were stuck inside. He met a genie who would grant him three wishes, after he managed to get Aladdin and his pet monkey, Abu, out of the cave. Believing that impersonating a prince would help win Jasmine's heart, as the law stated Jasmine had to marry a prince, Aladdin's first wish was to become a prince. Aladdin's second wish was for the Genie to save his life since he was bound and gagged while underwater, courtesy of Jafar and his men. Aladdin's final wish was to set the Genie free. Weinger guest starred on the TV series', "Scrubs", "What I Like About You" and "Talker, Texas Ranger".
2. I was glad that my father changed the law to allow me to marry whomever I pleased. Who voiced me?

Answer: Linda Larkin

Larkin, a native of Los Angeles, California, lent her voice to Princess Jasmine. Jasmine was the Sultan's daughter and knew that the law required her to marry a prince prior to her next birthday. Jasmine complained to her father how she hated being forced into marriage and how she wanted to marry out of love rather than obligation. Jasmine commented on how she hoped to make friends and explore the world outside the palace walls. Jasmine met Aladdin one day in the market, while she disguised herself as a beggar, and they bonded.

After Aladdin was accused of kidnapping Jasmine, she went to talk to Jafar about releasing him but he informed her that Aladdin's death sentence had already been carried out. Jasmine realized, in one scene, that one benefit of her marrying was she would become a Queen and therefore possess the power to get rid of Jafar.

In the movie's final scene, Jasmine chose to marry Aladdin, after the Sultan declared that he would change the law to permit her to marry the person of her choosing. Larkin starred in the films, "You Belong to Me", "Joshua" and "Knots".
3. When I got possession of the lamp, my first wish was to become a Sultan. Who voiced me?

Answer: Jonathan Freeman

Freeman, born in 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio voiced the film's main villain, Jafar. Jafar was the Royal Vizier to the Sultan and was charged with keeping peace in Agrabah. In his first scene, he met a man named Gazeem who took him to the Cave of Wonders. However, when Gazeem stepped foot into the cave, it collapsed but left behind a bug piece. Jafar then heard a deep voice claim there was a diamond in the rough, so Jafar figured the bug piece might help him learn who that person was. Jafar took the bug piece and used it in his private hideout to learn who the diamond in the rough was. Aladdin's face appeared to him so he went to look for him. Near the end of the movie, Jafar got hold of the lamp and therefore he was the Genie's master.

His first wish was to make him a Sultan.

His second wish was to transform into a sorcerer. While a sorcerer, Jafar took both the Sultan and Jasmine prisoner. However, it was his third wish which did him in, since he wished to be a genie and therefore wound up stuck inside the lamp. Freeman starred in the movies, "The Producers", "The Ice Storm" and "The Associate".
4. I wanted so badly to shove a bunch of crackers down the Sultan's throat. Who voiced me?

Answer: Gilbert Gotfried

Gotfried lent his voice to Iago, Jafar's parrot sidekick. There was one scene when Jafar spoke to the Sultan and the Sultan kept shoving crackers into Iago's mouth. When Jafar walked away with Iago, Iago lamented on how he could not stand the Sultan and Jasmine, so Jafar said how he was going to plot to take over the city of Agrabah. That was when Iago told him how great it would be to shove crackers down the Sultan's throat. Near the end of the movie, Iago impersonated Jasmine's voice, to distract Aladdin so he could nab the lamp.

While the Sultan was Jafar's prisoner, Iago shoved many crackers down his throat. Gotfried guest starred on the TV shows, "Hannah Montana", "Becker" and "Cosby".
5. I told Jafar to seek my approval before he executed any prisoners. Who voiced me?

Answer: Douglas Seale

Seale, born on October 28th, 1913 in London, England, voiced the Sultan. The Sultan was Jasmine's father and he reminded her how she needed to find a suitor to marry in three days, in accordance with the law. When Jasmine complained about her life, the Sultan reminded her she was a princess so she told him she thought about not wanting to be a princess anymore.

After the Sultan got word that Jafar had someone executed, he informed him he was to get his approval before ordering any death sentences from there on out. Jafar apologized to the Sultan for this.

When Aladdin transformed himself into Prince Ali, he met with the Sultan and he liked him so much that he wanted Jasmine to marry him. There is one scene in which the Sultan took a short carpet ride around the palace. Seale played characters in the films, "Ernest Saves Christmas", "Amadeus" and "For Love or Money".
6. I was Jasmine's pet tiger. Who voiced me?

Answer: Frank Welker

Welker, a native of Denver, Colorado lent his voice to Rajah. Rajah was Jasmine's pet tiger and he showed how much he hated Prince Achmed by destroying his clothes. Jasmine once stated to her father how she did not have any friends, which upset Rajah but Jasmine made sure to say how much she loved him and this made him smile.

When Jasmine went to the palace wall to climb over and escape from her life as a princess, Rajah tugged at her pants in a plea to get her to stay. Jasmine told him she had to leave so he helped her go over the wall but not without whining about it.

In one scene when Jafar was a sorcerer, he used his weapon to transform Rajah into a small cat. Welker voiced characters on the TV series', "Where's Waldo?", "Harts of the West" and "Bonkers".
7. In one scene, I transformed from a tiny monkey to a humongous elephant. Who voiced me?

Answer: Frank Welker

Welker also voiced the character of Abu, Aladdin's pet monkey. In Abu's first scene, he and Aladdin fled the market after Aladdin stole a loaf of bread. Aladdin saw two children hungry so he gave his half of the bread to one child and took Abu's half to give to the other child.

When Aladdin and Abu went to the market one day, Abu distracted a vendor who sold melons and this allowed Aladdin to steal one of them. When Aladdin went searching through the cave to find the lamp, he advised Abu not to touch anything but Abu touched a ruby.

This caused the cave to start collapsing so Aladdin and Abu hopped on the magic carpet to try and fly out. They reached the entrance and it was there that Jafar took the lamp and then got out his knife to try and stab Aladdin. Abu bit his arm so Jafar threw him down into the cave and Aladdin fell.

The cave collapsed and Aladdin and Abu were trapped inside. Abu showed Aladdin that he managed to take the lamp from Jafar. After Abu and Aladdin got out of the cave, the two of them and the Genie went to a tropical island and it was there that Aladdin told him he wanted to become a prince.

After Genie transformed him into one, he decided to change Abu into an elephant so Aladdin could ride on him. Welker also voiced characters on the TV shows, "Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated", "Futurama" and "Titan Maximum".
8. I wished to be freed from a life of servitude. Who voiced me?

Answer: Robin Williams

Williams, born in 1951 in Chicago, Illinois lent his voice to Genie. Genie was first seen after the cave collapsed on Aladdin and Abu. Aladdin rubbed on the lamp and he made his way out of it. The Genie claimed he was inside the lamp for 10,000 years and how it gave him a crick in the neck. Aladdin was doubtful of the Genie's magic powers and claimed how he likely could not get them out of the cave.

The Genie stopped him and told him to sit down on the magic carpet while he worked his magic on getting them out of the cave.

The Genie was successful, since they burst out of the cave and made way for a tropical island. When Aladdin was told he had three wishes to make, he had trouble thinking of what he wanted so he asked the Genie as to what he would wish for if given the chance.

The Genie said he wanted freedom and to no longer live a life of servitude. Aladdin promised him he would use his third wish to set him free. In one scene, the Genie did impersonations of Jack Nicholson and Rodney Dangerfield.

At the end of the movie, the Genie was freed and did a group hug with many other characters before he left to go live his life. Williams was in the movies, "One Hour Photo", "The Birdcage" and "Popeye". In 1990, he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role for "Dead Poets Society" but lost to Daniel Day-Lewis for "My Left Foot". Other Oscar nominees for Best Actor in a Leading Role that year were Tom Cruise for "Born on the Fourth of July", Morgan Freeman for "Driving Miss Daisy" and Kenneth Branagh for "Henry V".
9. Rajah ripped off part of my outfit, exposing my underwear. Who voiced me?

Answer: Corey Burton

Burton, born on August 3rd, 1955 in West Los Angeles, California voiced Prince Achmed in a small role. Prince Achmed was seen on his horse, heading to the palace, when two children ran out in front of him. He attempted to use his whip to harm them but Aladdin prevented this. Aladdin told Prince Achmed that he could afford some manners, so Prince Achmed shoved him and Aladdin fell into a pile of mud. Aladdin made a snide comment to Prince Achmed so Prince Achmed shot back that he would always be a worthless street rat.

In Prince Achmed's next scene, he was seen storming out of the palace, since Rajah had attacked him and bit off part of his clothes. Burton voiced characters on the TV shows, "Stroker and Hoop", "Duck Dodgers" and "The Powerpuff Girls".
10. I almost chopped off Jasmine's hand. Who voiced me?

Answer: Jim Cummings

Cummings, a native of Youngstown, Ohio lent his voice to the minor role of an apple seller. Jasmine stopped by an apple stand, while impersonating a beggar in Agrabah, and stole an apple, which the seller saw. He told her that she had better be able to pay for it but Jasmine said she had no money.

When the seller got aggressive with her, Jasmine said she could go to the palace to get some money. The seller then grabbed for her hand and got out a knife and nearly chopped her hand off but Aladdin interceded to prevent it. Aladdin fibbed to the apple seller, saying that Jasmine was his sister and a little crazy.

He paid the seller for the apple which Jasmine stole. Cummings lent his voice to characters on the TV series', "Marsupilami", "Bonkers" and "Darkwing Duck".
