The mother (Shelley Duvall) didn't seem to notice the visions of dead bodies and strange people until the end of the movie. Stanley Kubrick was the director. He directed many interesting movies, including "Dr. Strangelove", "2001: A Space Odyssey", and "Full Metal Jacket".

Sue Lyon played the NBC newswoman reporting on the destruction caused by a giant alligator in the movie "Alligator", which explored what might have happened if a little girl brought home a baby alligator which her father flushed down the toilet. Years later, it was still living in the sewer when a chemical company dumped animals which had been used to test a new chemical.

The alligator ate them and grew to gigantic size. Sue Lyon has appeared in many TV shows and movies over the years, including "Lolita", as Dolores "Lolita" Haze, "The Flim-Flam Man", "Tony Rome", and "Evel Knievel".

Elaine Joyce played as Ema Letha Kusic in "How to Frame a Figg" and Edith Olson, who stayed at Motel Hello in the movie "Motel Hell", where "it takes all kinds of critters to make farmer Vincent fritters", including people. The movie involved a brother and sister who ran a motel and a sausage factory. Sometimes they mixed pork with meat from people who stayed at the motel. Elaine Joyce briefly hosted "The Dating Game" and made guest appearances on shows, such as "The Andy Griffith Show", "Match Game", "Tattletales", and "Green Acres".

Jim Hill (Doug McClure) found out a company, Canco, accidentally created humanoids who were part man and part fish which were killing men and impregnating women. Doug McClure (May 11, 1935 - Feb 5, 1995) played David Innes in the movie "At the Earth's Core" involving people drilling into the Earth and finding a world of flying reptile people who enslaved savages.

He also appeared in movies, such as "The Land That Time Forgot" and "Cannonball Run II", and TV shows, including "The Virginian" and "Out of This World".

Based on "The Jewel of the Seven Stars" by Bram Stoker, the film involved Matthew Corbeck (Charlton Heston) finding a mummy of an Egyptian queen. It so happened his daughter was born at about that time. When she became the same age as the Egyptian queen had been when she died, Matthew's daughter became possessed by the spirit of the dead Egyptian queen. Charlton Heston (Oct 4, 1923 - Apr 5, 2008) appeared in many movies over the years, including "Planet of the Apes", "El Cid", "Soylent Green", "King of Kings", "The Omega Man", and TV shows, including "The Colbys". Of course, he's famous for playing Moses in "The Ten Commandments".

In the busy year of 1980 a little movie appeared called "Friday the 13th" which has grown into a dozen movies (as of 2016) and many products. The movie involved people getting murdered at Camp Crystal Lake because a boy drowned in the lake years earlier.

It was directed by the producer of "Last House on the Left", Sean Cunningham, who also directed "Deep Star Six", "Spring Break", and "A Stranger is Watching".

A black freighter crashed into a cruise ship at night. Survivors floating on wreckage climbed aboard the freighter the next day, unaware it was the ship that wrecked the cruise ship. Captain Ashland (George Kennedy) became possessed and started murdering people. George Kennedy had played Captain Ed Hocken in the "Naked Gun" movies, and appeared in "Airport", "Earthquake", "Charade", and "Cool Hand Luke".
