Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the first single released in the U.S.A.?

Answer: Modern Day Delilah

"Modern Day Delilah" was posted on the kissonline.com before the album came out. The single came out in the U.S.A. in September of 2009.
2. What was the second single released in the U.S.A.?

Answer: Say Yeah

"Say Yeah" was released as a single in November of 2009. Once it was released as a single, the band started playing it live.
3. What song does Eric Singer sing?

Answer: All For The Glory

This is my favorite song on the album, although many fans seem to hate it. The message of the song, in lyrics such as: "I don't run, I don't hide. Take a look, you won't see fear in my eyes. One way, my way! If there's a price to pay for all that I've got, I'll give it all gonna take my shot" seems to echo earlier KISS songs such as "I" from "Music From the Elder," "My Way" from "Crazy Nights," and "Raise Your Glasses" from "Psycho Circus." The message from such songs is basically: "I'll do things my way and only my way and I will enjoy the glory that I get from this."
4. What song does Tommy Thayer sing?

Answer: When Lightning Strikes

Tommy also co-wrote "Never Enough" and "I'm an Animal." Amazingly, the band did not play "When Lighting Strikes" on the "Sonic Boom" tour. Instead, Tommy was singing an old Ace Frehley classic, "Shock Me."
5. At the first show after the album came out, the band played nothing from "Sonic Boom" live.

Answer: False

They performed "Modern Day Delilah," but amazingly, nothing else from "Sonic Boom" at that show. Other songs from the album were added to the setlist later in 2009 or in 2010.
6. At the end of the first U.S. leg of the "Sonic Boom" tour, the only songs from this album that were being played live were "Modern Day Delilah" and "Say Yeah." In 2010, they started playing another song off the album. What song?

Answer: I'm an Animal

This was the first Gene song from the album that they started playing live. They did not play a single other Gene song from the album on the "Sonic Boom" tour.
7. What song features Gene and Paul trading lead vocals?

Answer: Stand

They have traded lead vocals in several other KISS songs as well, including the classic "Shout it Out Loud." They also traded lead vocals in some cover songs, such as of the Ramones' "Do You Remember Rock and Roll Radio?" and Argent's "God Gave Rock and Roll to You."
8. What song was written in the seventies and originally titled "Rotten to the Core"?

Answer: Hot and Cold

There were rumors going around that "Rotten to the Core" was going to be the title of this album. The phrase also appears in the song "Mr. Blackwell."
9. What song has the opening line "I'm going to strike while the iron's hot tonight"?

Answer: Yes I Know (Nobody's Perfect)

This song was written back in the 80s. It's the first KISS song that mentions taking off clothes since "Take it Off" from 1992.
10. What song has the phrase "Baby you and me, we're like TNT, light the dynamite"?

Answer: Danger Us

This song is infamous for the word play of "Danger you, danger me, danger us!" The idea is that "Danger Us" sounds like "dangerous."
