Billboard number 21 June 19, 1961. Originally called the Essos, they changed their name to match the Ford produced automobile of the same name. They were frequent guests on "American Bandstand" and have recorded over 25 songs.

Billboard number 6 May 16, 1962. Maresca was born in the Bronx, New York, and started as a singer/songwriter for "The Regents". His big break came when he came to the attention of another Bronx resident, Dion DeMucci. Maresca ended up writing some of Dion's biggest hits, including "Runaround Sue" and "The Wanderer".

He also later wrote "Whenever A Teenager Cries" which became a hit for Reparata and the Delrons.
