They broke up at the height of their career. They first hit it big with "Roxanne". The other members were Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. Some of their albums were "Synchronicity", "Regatta De Blanc", "Ghost in the Machine" and "Zenyatta Mondatta".

Their songs include "Every little thing she does is magic", "Wrapped around your finger", "Invisible Sun" and, of course, "Every breath you Take".
3. Phil Collins?

Answer: Genesis

They were nicknamed the "incredible shrinking band". Peter Gabriel was in the band at one time and he went on to a solo career. Genesis had hits with "Land of Confusion", "Invisible Touch" and "We Can't Dance". Besides Phil Collins there were Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford, who was a member of Mike and The Mechanics who had hits with "The Living Years" and "All I Need is a Miracle".
4. Steve Perry?

Answer: Journey

Steve Perry had a successful solo career for a while with hits like "Oh Sherrie" and "Foolish Heart". They had ever-changing lineups. Albums were "Infinity", "Evolution", "Frontiers", and "Raised on Radio". Hits include "Open Arms", "Faithfully", "Who's Crying Now", "Separate Ways", "Don't Stop Believin" and "Girl Can't Help It".

They also sang "Remember Me" from the "Armageddon" soundtrack.
5. Simon LeBon?

Answer: Duran Duran

One of my favorite groups. Simon LeBon, Andy Taylor, John Taylor, Roger Taylor and Nick Rhodes. They had albums "Rio", "Seven and the Ragged Tiger", "Arena", "Medazzaland" and "Pop Trash", to name a few. In the 80s they had a stream of hit songs. These include "Hungry Like the Wolf", "Rio", "The Reflex", "Is there Something I Should Know", "New Moon on Monday" and "Union Of The Snake".

The last song that the original five members participated on was "A View to a Kill", which came from the movie of the same name. For a while they were three different groups.

They had Duran Duran with all five members; Arcadia with Simon, Nick and Roger; and John and Andy were members of The Power Station. They had a big hit in the 90s with "Ordinary World". In 2001 the original lineup reunited. Andy Taylor, John Taylor and Roger Taylor were not of any relation.
6. Kevin Cronin?

Answer: REO Speedwagon

This group came out of Champaign, Illinois. Kevin Cronin, Gary Richrath, Neil Doughty, Alan Gratzer, Bruce Hall and Tommy Funderburk were REO Speedwagon. Their best known album is "Hi Infidelity". "Sweet Emotion". Steven Tyler is the father to actress Liv Tyler and model Mia Tyler. Aerosmith has given us songs like "Crazy", "Amazing", "Crying", "Angel", and "The Other Side". They achieved their very first number one song with "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing", which is featured on the "Armageddon" Soundtrack. Ironically, Steven Tyler's daughter was in that movie.
9. Boy George?

Answer: Culture Club

Boy George created a lot of controversy because his style was androgynous. People were not sure if he was male or female. Boy George was born George O' Dowd. They hit the charts with "Time", "Do you Really Want to Hurt Me", "Karma Chameleon", "I'll Tumble for Ya", and some others. Boy George sang the title song from the Stephen Rea movie "The Crying Game".

Other members of Culture Club were Roy Hay and Jon Moss.
10. Yes or No: Was Elton John ever in an 80s rock group? (An actual group, not a one-off)

Answer: no

Of all the people listed here he was never in a group. Elton John is a big star by himself. He was born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947. His breakthrough hit was "Your Song", released in 1970, and after that he was unstoppable. He has had too many hit songs for me to list, but some of them have been "Crocodile Rock", "Bennie and The Jets" and "Candle in The Wind".

In 1997 He re-released "Candle In the Wind" and dedicated it to Princess Diana. Elton John is a very flamboyant musician. He once performed one of his songs wearing a Donald Duck costume.
