Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is Ace Frehley's real name?

Answer: Paul Daniel Frehley

Yes, his name is Paul Daniel Frehley; when he joined Kiss, they used Ace as his band name.
2. What year did Ace leave Kiss?

Answer: 1983

Ace's relationship with the band deteriorated throughout 1982, and he finally left the band in the beginning of 1983. Ace Frehley left Kiss due to the fact that he didn't like the changes Paul and Gene were making to the band. Since Peter Criss had already been kicked out of Kiss, Paul and Gene could outvote Ace on everything, so Ace didn't have a say in anything they did any more.
3. What song on Ace's solo album in September of 1978 reached number 13 on the Billboards?

Answer: New York Groove

All of these songs were written by Ace and were huge songs, but all of them except for "New York Groove" were recorded by Kiss and on Kiss albums.
4. What year did Ace return to Kiss?

Answer: 1996

Paul, Gene, Ace and Peter all got back together at an MTV unplugged concert.
5. When Ace was young he was in a street gang called the Duckies with the front man of what band?

Answer: Steven Edward Duren (Blackie Lawless from W.A.S.P.)

At one point Ace got arrested for reasons that were unknown.
6. What CD did Ace, Paul, Gene and Peter do in 1998?

Answer: Pyscho Circus

"Psycho Circus" ended up making over 8 million dollars, one of their highest selling albums.
7. What year did Ace get his first guitar?

Answer: 1964

He got his first ever guitar at Christmas of 1964 and starting playing and never stopped. You can check this out on AceFrehley.com
8. What year did Ace Frehley try out for Kiss?

Answer: 1972

He tried out in 1972 and Paul and Gene loved him right away; he joined the band soon after.
9. Why was Ace replaced on the song "Sweet Pain" which appeared on the Kiss album "Destroyer"?

Answer: He was playing in a card game

Yep, Ace was involved in a card game, so Dick Wagner (from Alice Cooper) did most of the guitar. Wagner also played acoustic guitar on the song "Beth".
10. Ace has a bunch of CDs and has covered a couple Kiss songs but what CD has the cover song of "Hide Your Heart"?

Answer: Trouble Walkin'

When Ace left Kiss Gene and Paul wanted to still perform some of Ace's songs live, example: "Cold Gin" and "Parasite" so when the time came to make the "Trouble Walkin'" album he asked Paul Stanley if he could do a remake of "Hide Your Heart" and well the rest speaks for itself.

The really interesting thing about this though is the fact that Ace Frehley's version of this song came out before the Kiss version.
