Answer: Tim Wheeler and Mark Hamilton

Both were from Downpatrick, Ireland and had attended high school together. They formed a small band consisting only of them two (Tim on guitar and Mark on bass). They used the name "Vietnam" and were told to be the worst band in their county.

Answer: Rick McMurray

Rick, who would become Ash's drummer, had also attended Tim and Mark's high school. He was said to be a loner, who had a wierd, bug-eyed stare everytime Tim and Mark saw him walking down the hallways.

Pipe Smokin' Brick featured "Jack names the Planets" and "Intense Thing", taken from Shed, as well as some new tracks including "Petrol". The demo tape had not gained much attention yet and Ash was still playing small shows at local clubs.
