Smokey Dawson was born in 1913, and died in 2008. He served in the Second World War in the Army, and on his return from service, started his own radio show, "The Adventures of Smoky Dawson". He became known as Australia's first cowboy, and he and his horse Flash were famous all over Australia.
The song "When The Rain Tumbles Down in July" is one of Slim Dusty's.

Answer: 103

Slim was born in 1927, in a small town called Nulla Creek, and wrote his first song at the age of 18: When the Rain Tumbles Down in July.
He went on to write and record many other songs, but his first major hit was in 1957, with "A Pub With No Beer".
He won numerous awards, including "Father of the Year" in 1999, and numerous Golden Guitars at Australia's National Country Music Festival, held in Tamworth each January.

Lee's award of Australian of the Year was really well deserved in my opinion. I was lucky enough to attend his concert in the small country town of Moora, which was twice devastated by floods in 1999. His sister Tania is also a well known country singer. Lee has won numerous Golden Guitars and other awards.
