1. What is the name of the band Ben Harper frequently plays with?

Answer: The Innocent Criminals

The Innocent Criminals are Oliver Charles (drums), Juan Nelson (Bass), Leon Mobley (Percussion), Marc Ford (Guitar), and Jason Yates (Keyboards). Many other people have drifted in and out of the line up over the years.
2. Which song contains the lyric: "Like good questions never asked, is wisdom wasted on the past..."?

Answer: Blessed to Be a Witness

"Blessed to A Witness" appears on the 2003 album "Diamonds On the Inside". It is one of the most astoundingly transcendent songs when heard performed live by Ben.
3. Finish the lyric: "The stones from my enemies, these wounds will mend, but I cannot survive...".

Answer: the roses from my friends

This beautiful song about drifting relationships and loss first appeared on Ben's 1997 album "The Will to Live". Live performances of the song without the Innocent Criminals can be heard on a few of Ben's live albums.
4. Which song features the lyric: "Sing me something my heart can use; misery loves a symphony"?

Answer: Suzie Blue

"Suzie Blue" is my favorite track off of the 1999 album "Burn to Shine". The song has an old time jazz sound to it. It even has the sound of an old record playing in the background in the beginning!
5. Finish the lyric: "I can make peace on earth..."

Answer: with my own two hands

This song was orginally used as a an extended ending to the crown favorite "Burn One Down" but was eventually written as its own song on the "Diamonds on the Inside" album. Ben indicates in this uplifting anthem that all it takes to change the world is the will to do so and two hands.
6. Which song features the lyric "Good lovers make great enemies"?

Answer: Please Bleed

"Please bleed so that I know that you are real; so I know that you can feel the damage that you've done..." is just a sample of other lyrics to the song. This haunting and emotional melody is about a love that has turned so jaded that there are doubts about whether they can even feel emotion or pain anymore.
7. Which song features the lyric: "So if you catch yourself thinking it has changed for the best you better second guess..."?

Answer: Like A King

This song is a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and an introspection on what happened to Rodney King in Los Angeles. When played live the song is usually coupled with a touching and melodic rendition of Maya Angelou's "I'll Rise".
8. Which song begins with the lyrics: "I believe in a few things, God the devil and love. Cause I've looked up from the bottom and I've stared down from above"?

10. Which of these is the title of a Ben Harper live album?

Answer: Live From Mars

This 2001 two-disc album is from a live performance at Red Rocks in Boulder Colorado. The first disc is electric featuring the Innocent Criminals jamming through many of the bands hits.
