1. Which one of these musicians was not in the original 1967 lineup of Blood, Sweat & Tears?

Answer: David Clayton-Thomas

The band Blood, Sweat & Tears was formed in New York City in 1967. Al Kooper played keyboards and did much of the lead vocal work in the beginning. Steve Katz was the group's guitar player as well as a vocalist. Jerry Weiss played trumpet and flugelhorn for the band. David Clayton-Thomas replaced Al Kooper as lead vocalist for BS&T in 1968 because his vocals were stronger than Kooper's. Clayton-Thomas began singing for BS&T on the group's second album, and the band would skyrocket to superstardom in the following two years.
